(Character is same level but map start from the beginning) Please fix it thanks you. Great game . **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback, we're really sorry for this! ### 3/5 — Okay but some weird issues. *2021-01-27, version 1.4.1* So one of the biggest problems is hit boxes are a mess. The further you get in the game the worse they are. Fighting against the flying cat birds is just one example of an insane hit box where it telegraphs as a small move but hits you when you are supposedly way out of range. The other big issue is poison damage is insanely broken against you. It out damages all forms of healing and getting hit with poison once pretty much spells instant death for you. On the second world, almost all enemies start to do poison. Even building up resistances, two hits with a poison attack means death and building up your resistance is not easy. The trial section could be done better as well. Rewards outside of the 10/20/30 mark are next to nothing and the balance on each run is pretty bad. Again, run into a poison enemy and your run is over if you get hit once. It is a fun game but what makes the game hard isn’t the level of difficulty on enemies, it’s the unreadable hit boxes. Nothing is more frustrating than getting obliterated by a move from across the map that is telegraphed as a small circle. ### 3/5 — Okay, but has a crashing problem *2021-01-22, version 1.3.8* Neat little game, I like collecting information about the monsters in the album, though the spelling and grammar could use some work. I also have a problem where after every few rounds, or when I simply navigate through the menus, I crash back to my main iPad menu, and I have to relaunch the app. When trying to change from separation mode, the options go off of the screen and require me to restart the app, where the changed options have not even saved. Overall this game needs a lot of polish. My device is a 5th-gen iPad (old, I know, it was originally from school) and it’s running iPadOS 14.3. **Developer response:** Sorry for the crash, could you provide your ipad model and ios version to us? We're optimizing to make it more stable. ### 4/5 — Good game but... *2021-01-15, version 1.3.6* This is a good game, however the movement is so hard to get the hang of. I don’t like games that have a system of points that you need to actually play so many times the game just won’t let you play. Not or mention the difficulty levels with this game the enemy’s are either ridiculously easy or ridiculously hard there isn’t a happy medium I have been able to find it’s either you take barely any damage or you die there aren’t any close calls where you feel very accomplished. You with think “oh well that thing is dead now” or you die so quickly and think it’s impossible. This game is still very enjoyable and I will continue playing but it is not perfect nor is it expected to be its overall a good game but one that will take a lot of time and practice with the controls. **Developer response:** Thank you for your support. The camera, though, needs some work. The camera will lock into quadrants of the map, making it impossible to see what the boss is doing on the opposite end or other quadrants. I’ve fallen once too many times simply because I could not see an attack that appears for 0.2 seconds on-screen. Meanwhile the camera wants me to see some shrubbery at the corner of the map. I suggest a more dynamic camera screening during boss fights. The camera should move closer to the boss when on opposite ends of the map or quadrants. The extra bit of view will make the overall gameplay a lot better. This camera screening can be an option in the settings. If you like monster hunter you owe it to yourself to try it out. Firstly: there are so so many things great about the game, controls, art direction, sound and more. There is little to no pay-2-win in the game unless you’re very impatient and the core gameplay mechanics are awesome. There’s potential for serious greatness in the game. Especially if one day we have variety of weapon types and attacks and more skills, armor etc. (Or multiplayer omg one can dream) That said there are some huge downfalls once you reach mid and late game. Hit boxes for powerful monster attacks (and your character) are laughably bad and extremely unfair which gates progres that skilled players should be able to pass. (Looking at you red rhino and frost dragon roar). The late game armor is also extremely expensive to craft materials wise and in order to inherit to legendary, the grind is real. However playing MH, this is to be expected to an extent, it’s just a little excessive in my opinion. Overall I really really love this game, but I’m hoping they take the time to polish up monsters and tighten the hit boxes to make the game a little more responsive and fair without over gearing. The game was designed to be beatable only by the richest of whales. With maxed out purple gear a maxed out character and maxed everything I couldn’t even make it halfway through the second world. No way to get the next tier of gear without spending real money. All of the legendary gear is behind a paywall of some sort. I’ve always wanted to find a good monster hunting game but I never found it until now. Hunting monster for their parts for their gear has never felt so satisfying. It’s a very good ‘pick up and play’ game that can be casual and slightly intense as you level up but as long as you craft stronger weapons and armors, you’ll be fine. It would be nice to include different weapon types, perhaps in the future. Cannot wear skins and then I’ve been getting charged gems to purchase early after I’ve constructed the entire suit.
