## What is Jumpsters?

Jumpsters is a one-thumb arcade game about reading what's ahead of you and choosing how to get through it.

You run. Things come at you. Every one of them has an answer:

• Coloured blocks — become that colour and pass straight through, or jump them
• Pits — no colour saves you here. Jump.
• Steel hazards — they match nothing. Jump.
• Overhead bars — stay on the ground and run underneath

Colour swaps are rationed. You get three, refilling slowly, so you can't simply match your way through everything — you have to decide what's worth spending a charge on and what you'd rather jump.

Swap at the last possible instant, just before contact, and you score a Perfect: it builds your combo, raises your multiplier, and pays the charge back. The safest line and the best line are not the same line.

Every obstacle has its own sound, and stringing Perfects together walks the notes up the scale — so a good run sounds like one. Sound and haptics can each be switched off from the menu.

Seven challenge stages teach one idea at a time before the endless mode combines them and steadily speeds up.

No ads. No in-app purchases. No account. No internet connection. Nothing is collected about you — your progress is saved on your device and stays there.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 2.0.1 — 2026-09-07

Jumping is now frame-rate independent.

The jump arc used to shift very slightly depending on how hard your phone was working, which meant a tap that cleared a bar early in a run might not clear the same bar later on, once things sped up. It is now identical on every device and at every frame rate.

Also in this update:

- The world has depth. Distant hills and a scrolling ground, so you can finally see the speed building instead of just feeling it.
- A shadow under you, so it is easier to judge where you are going to land — and whether you are over a pit.
- Overhead bars now hang from the top of the screen instead of stopping in mid-air. They read as something to duck under, which is what they always were.
- Landings have some weight to them.
- iPad no longer stretches the menu buttons across the entire screen.
- Smaller download and a smoother frame.

Still free. Still no ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts, and no network calls of any kind.

### 2.0.0 — 2026-09-06

Jumpsters has been rebuilt from scratch.

The original changed your colour on a timer, which meant most deaths weren't really your fault. Now the colour is yours to choose — and it's a limited resource, so it can't solve everything.

New in 2.0:
• Pits, steel hazards and overhead bars — three obstacles that colour can't fix
• Rationed colour swaps, so jumping matters again
• Perfect timing: swap late, just before contact, to build a combo multiplier
• Seven challenge stages
• Unlockable characters and trails, earned by playing
• A full sound kit — every obstacle type has its own cue, and Perfects climb the scale as your combo grows
• Rebuilt visuals throughout

Still free. Still no ads, no purchases, no account.

### 1.1 — 2017-08-21

# Some Bugs Fixed.

### 1.0 — 2017-08-19
