### 3/5 — Love the oven but expensive subscription ruins it

*2023-04-04, version 1.24.2*

I love the oven. I’ve had a few issues that June support was able to take care of. On that end they have been great.

The issue I have is the subscription model for the app. They need some kind of subscription to support the app and it’s updates. It’s just that $10 a month? $120 a year? It should be a few dollars a month or an option to pay a lower yearly fee. At this price point it’s just not worth it.

### 2/5 — June app is great… when it connects

*2022-10-31, version 1.24.1*

The app will connect to the oven about a third of the time, rendering it mostly useless.

### 3/5 — Dark mode? Why not?? It's 2022!!!!

*2022-03-28, version 1.24.0*

Please. If you are going to use low contrast font in an app with no way to increase text size, at least add dark mode capability.

### 3/5 — Subscription?!

*2021-10-06*

Let me get this straight… I need to pay a $10USD/month subscription to be able to use the full functionality of my oven. Got it.

Here in the real world, ovens don’t require subscription services. I’ve seen some ridiculous subscription services, but this really takes the cake.

### 3/5 — Turn off the take photo pic

*2021-07-03, version 1.23.3*

I’m not the type to take photos of my food, and if I was, I’d never do it from the ovens camera. Why is this a feature I can’t disable. It’s easily the most annoying thing in the app.

### 2/5 — Meh

*2021-06-09, version 1.23.2*

Hands-down the June oven is obviously the most aesthetic oven on the market. With such good looks you would expect High end performance. Womp womp. I think the biggest disappointment is the lack of barcode scanning. The fact that the oven ca visually recognize food and set temperatures for the recognized food item is amazing. I’m convinced it’s magic but the big unexpected let down is that the APP can’t scan barcodes and then send that information over to the oven to cook a meal. Big WOMP WOMP WOMP👎🏼. I mean really, if your oven can recognize food why can’t this app scan barcodes for frozen meals and other food items and send that information to the oven for cooking🤷🏻‍♂️

### 3/5 — No account information

*2021-04-06, version 1.23.2*

The app is useful for operating the oven, but I feel like the camera is being butchered by low bit-rate transmission, I can barely tell what’s in my oven because it’s so pixelated.

There’s also no way to view our account or log-in or log out. My question is, why not? Why can’t we do the very simplest function an app can serve? It’s infuriating.

### 4/5 — Great, but could be fantastic

*2020-09-18, version 1.20.0*

We’ve had the June oven about a year and I love it, the last update to the app has been hit or miss with the oven working its magic by identifying and cooking something with a couple of clicks. The app seems to lose connection a lot with the server and crashes, but when and if it connects, everything is fine. I’ve re booted the oven and it will work for awhile then back to hit or miss with full functionality. Over all this is a great oven, well build and very high quality, it’s the app that needs some serious attention.

### 3/5 — How about device information?

*2020-04-06, version 1.19.0*

The app is okay. My big complaint is that I cannot see my account information at all. I cannot push an update. It’s very basic.

### 4/5 — No simple fries recipes

*2020-02-14, version 1.18.0*

Seriously? Only tofu fries recipe and that’s it. I love the oven and the other recipes but come on!

### 3/5 — It’s great, but needs some improvements

*2020-01-13, version 1.18.0*

The oven itself is amazing! It looks fantastic, works great, and it is a decent size.

The app, however, needs some improvements. Here we go:

- The most obvious one: I miss the integration with Siri. I do not own an Alexa, but I do own a HomePod, and I’d love to ask Siri to do some stuff for me;

- I miss a tool to take pictures directly from the oven camera. I mean, I can see what I’m cooking live, but I’d like to take a picture from it instead of taking a screenshot;

- in the cooking history, I think it would be so cool if we could rename the dish instead of seeing “roasted 375 F - 15 min”, for instance.

Overall, it’s a great app, but I think the changes I suggested would improve the user experience with it.

### 3/5 — Nice app but could use Siri Shortcuts

*2019-12-16, version 1.18.0*

Functions well for notifications and some connectivity to the oven. Siri Shortcuts will be a must do for future versions of this iOS app.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2019-08-23, version 1.16.1*

This is a great app love the recipes list and the ability to make a grocery list. The only thing I wish you could do for the recipes would be able to save your favorites in a folder or a button that you can star your favorites.

### 4/5 — Great product, app needs more options

*2019-05-10, version 1.14.0*

Love this oven! But the app needs more options for notifications. I don’t want advertising or recipe notifications.

### 4/5 — Awesome smart oven and great app!

*2019-03-04, version 1.13.0*

Can do so much with it and make your own programs which is great!

Wish you could mark/save your favorites on the recipe section though to easily find later.
And while some cook programs ask for quantity, others do not when it could be a help/make a difference. Also missing an option for rare/medium/well done too, just have to keep hitting "add 5 minutes" until ready.
Otherwise it's great.

### 1/5 — Weber

*2026-07-23, version 1.24.2*

Weber bought this company and ever since there have been no updates. If this is how Weber handles their Apps, then I will steer clear of their products.

Update: Weber is discontinuing this. I will continue to steer clear of their products.

### 1/5 — Weber

*2025-12-05, version 1.24.2*

Weber bought this company and ever since there have been no updates. If this is how Weber handles their Apps, then I will steer clear of their products.

### 1/5 — Seems abandoned

*2024-09-11, version 1.24.2*

For the price of this oven, I expected their app to get updates. It’s been a year since the last update, no Alexa integration, and the app constantly loses connection to the oven. If you’re looking for a smart oven, this isn’t it.

### 1/5 — Poor app

*2022-07-16, version 1.24.0*

Like the oven, hate the app. Need to add the ability to clear history IMMEDIATELY. Just deleted and reinstalled. Now to hook it back up. What poor design!

### 1/5 — App broke it

*2021-11-07, version 1.23.3*

My gen 1 dial no longer scrolls to set temp after they updated their software. App rarely works to save changes to my custom programs. Been going on for months now. What do you guys sit around doing all day??

### 1/5 — Cool idea, poorly executed

*2021-08-24, version 1.23.3*

If you ever stood in your kitchen and wished your appliances had features hid behind a pay wall... then this is the oven for you.

### 1/5 — It’s over for June.

*2021-03-23, version 1.23.0*

We have had 4 of these ovens. Yes 4. It’s been replaced 4 times for mechanical issues. Gen 2 lost a heating element, replacement lost WiFi. Gen 3 had a broken touchscreen. My Gen 3 replacement is failing as well. The software over time has lost features more than it’s gained. The company has stopped updating app, oven firmware and blog. Research shows they where recently purchased by Weber and likely will be folded in somehow. I won’t be asking for a 5th replacement. When it dies it’s going on the garbage and on to another manufacturer. Such promise.

### 1/5 — Current Version Issues

*2020-02-25, version 1.18.0*

There’s something very wrong with this current version of the app and software. I cannot get into the app as it keeps crashing at the boot screen and my oven crashed and restarted in the middle of a cook cycle.

I’ve had this oven for a year and have loved every minute of it. Hardware wise this is an amazing oven. Just a bad version of the software. Please update ASAP!

### 1/5 — Won’t stay connected!

*2020-01-13, version 1.18.0*

WiFi connectivity is poor. I’ll open the app to cook something and it’s not connected. I’ve connected and reconnected about 5 times this weekend. It wouldn’t be so bad but you have to enter the password every time.....

### 1/5 — Great oven - good iOS app - poor cross platform support

*2019-06-16, version 1.15.0*

Love the oven - app on iOS is very good. If you want integration with Alexa platform or Android devices you will unfortunately be very disappointed. Limited features, no recipe support for 3/4 of household. Will review again if it improves.

### 5/5 — New June Please!

*2025-06-17, version 1.24.2*

Bring back the June!!

### 5/5 — Connects to iPhone 15 iOS 17.1.1

*2023-12-10, version 1.24.2*

When I first tried to connect to a second GEN oven, the newer devices with the latest iOS would not connect. My guess was that the app wasn’t updated and so it didn’t know about the find devices on network permission setting.

So I tried an old iPhone 5s, and it connected the first try.

After several months of owning the second GEN oven, I tried connecting on my primary iPhone and it somehow worked. Hope this helps someone

### 5/5 — One of my favorite appliances, and a fantastic app

*2019-03-02, version 1.13.0*

The June oven is honestly one of the most polished apps and devices outside of Apple's own.

### 5/5 — Life changing

*2019-01-28, version 1.13.0*

I never used to cook but I cook all the time now. Love the oven and the app. It only keeps getting better with new recipes too. Absolutely love this product.

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2018-08-26, version 1.11.0*

We love our second generation June oven and the accompanying app. The app makes it easy for us to go ahead and do other chores while the food cooks. When the food is done, a message on the phone tells us so. We also get the option of continuing for a book longer. The live video feed is very useful. It’s not gimmicky. The Cookbook is our most used feature and we will likely go with the premium subscription when the free trial expires.

Get June!

### 5/5 — Really slick App

*2018-08-23, version 1.11.0*

I was pleasantly surprised with this app. I shouldn’t be considered how tech savvy and flawless the June oven is. You can do so many things with this app- from creating custom presets for your favorite foods, preheating your oven with one touch, revisiting the prior foods you’ve cooked (with a cool time lapse video of your food cooking), access to free recipes (with premium access if you’d like to subscribe), stickers to decorate pics of your food, and more! It’s obvious that June Oven and it’s employees are passionate about cooking and food! I’m looking forward to what this app will offer in the future. Only downside I seen is that the time lapse video in the history took a while to load. Overall, great app!

### 5/5 — Love it

*2017-11-07, version 1.7.1*

It’s very easy to use and to follow the instructions. The videos included in every step is AMAZING 😍😍😍

### 4/5 — Great App, Love it, however

*2024-08-03, version 1.24.2*

When at, the end of cooking, and it asks if I would like to take a photo, it accesses the camera on the app, rather than the camera in the oven. Please fix.

### 4/5 — Premium package phone app access

*2022-09-05, version 1.24.0*

Use the June of an every day since my January 2020 to purchase and today for the first time looking for recipes the iPhone app is asking me to subscribe to a premium package. The original purchase of a premium oven and accessories was supposed to allow one full year of premium service. Explain how to reboot through this difficulty.
Overall I love the machine, small hiccups can easily be fixed.

### 4/5 — Camera

*2022-06-02, version 1.24.0*

There is a camera in the oven. When the. cooking is over, one is offered the chance to take a picture of the result. However when one tries, one sees the iPad camera, not the oven camera. Please fix.
