## What is Jungle Breaks?

Jungle Breaks is a dual-scene live performance groovebox built as the mobile workflow for old-school jungle, drum 'n' bass, and breakcore music enthusiasts.

Built as the powerful successor to the Amen Break Generator app, it expands on its original concepts by introducing MPC-style sampler pads, quantized pad loopers, and a comprehensive set of iconic samples: era-defining 1990s jungle breakbeats, chord pads and subbasses.

The dual-scene layout allows to run two complete, independent 16-pad setups in parallel — 32 pads total — each with its own samples, effects, and snapshots. With this you can easily blend two arrangements, build transitions, or extend a set on the fly. The app features state-saving snapshots for instant performance recall and runs standalone or as a synchronized AUv3 plugin inside an iOS host DAW.

Whether you're chopping the amen break on stage or building a session in the studio, Jungle Breaks keeps your hands on the sound instead of buried in menus.

* Sampler playback modes: Choose between standard One-Shot Mode (with +/- 12 semitone tuning) and Sliced Mode, which auto-chops loops into user-defined clips.

* Independent DSP Routing: Group individual pads into 4 color-coded sub-mixes, running each through an independent sequential chain of DSP effects.

* Free-Play Mode — Jam over your samples with automatic tempo quantization, so live-triggered loops and effects always land on the beat (or lock to your host's MIDI clock as an AUv3).

* 32-Step Live Sequencer: Capture and overdub live taps across integrated 16 loopers with three distinct launch modes (Start on Tap, Start Immediately, and Count-In) with adjustable tempo (60-240 BPM).

* 16-Effect DSP Chain per Group — Every group runs its own independent signal chain of 16 tempo-synced effects, including a segment-shuffling Scrambler, a randomized-loop Juggler, a stutter Repeater, rhythmic Gater, Bitcrusher, Flanger, stereo Ping-Pong Delay, sweeping filters, vinyl-style Slowdown, and tempo-locked Reverse — 64 effect slots in total across all 4 groups.

* Scene Snapshots: Store and recall 4 snapshot slots per scene on the fly to capture exact sample maps, active looper patterns, and effect parameters perfectly quantized to the global tempo.

* Scene Snapshots — Capture your full pad, effect, and looper state into 4 instant-recall slots per scene, with automatic synced transitions between them.

* Save & Load Scenes — Store and reload complete performance setups as files, and swap them live mid-set without interrupting playback.

* AUv3 & MIDI Integration: Run natively or as an AUv3 plugin inside iOS host DAWs, utilizing full MIDI note maps for pad triggers, snapshot recalls, MIDI Transport, and dedicated scene stop/panic notes.
