### 2/5 — Limited / broken

*2013-11-22, version 1.20.1*

Still not optimized for later iOS. Won't upload pics (error). All you can do is access docs and email to yourself. Use another cloud service. I'm switching my company service because of this app.

### 2/5 — Needs some work

*2013-08-15, version 1.20.1*

I don't think this has had a substantial update in a long while, as with most of the jungle disk products. It hasn't been updated for iPhone 5 and only includes the most basic functions. In short, this isn't an acceptable app to support a paid service.

### 3/5 — It works for me

*2012-12-19, version 1.20*

Jd is still better solution for my company. I have tried Dropbox, box, google drive and egynite

### 4/5 — Works great. Needs a few things

*2012-03-16, version 1.10*

After extensive testing of most major cloud storage services I find the service at jungle disk to be the very best. The iOS app is their only weakness, it works well but would be 100% better if it could open the items in a 3rd party app like the other similar apps can, so you could watch non iPhone supported videos on VLC for instance, or open other document formats.

### 3/5 — Needs update

*2012-03-10, version 1.10*

I can't believe this app has not been updated in two years and we pay for this service. C'mon add some more features or something innovative.

### 2/5 — Will not open docx files on iPad or iPhone

*2012-01-11, version 1.10*

Jungle disk works fine on my laptop, but it does not support docx. It will not open these files on my I phone or iPad. This app is useless if I can not access my files remotely. I hope this is something that will be supported in the near future.

### 4/5 — No real problems here

*2011-12-08, version 1.10*

Not sure why people have problems but it works fine for me and fast over a good wifi network. It states many times that if you loose your password you are out of luck because of their high security, so people are just dumb for not taking the proper measures. I would however like to be able to upload more than 1 picture at a time and maybe even upload documents besides just pictures from my phone. Also a retina display icon would be nice since its the only app I have now that is lacking it.

### 2/5 — Would be good app if...

*2011-11-02, version 1.10*

Could view .docx files. Could view .PDF in good-reader. Would be great app if could open .docx in pages and open audio files. As is it is really useless. I expect a hell of a lot more from rackspace's so called fanatical support. Gets just a 2 star because I can at least view .PDF

### 1/5 — Why bother?

*2011-09-26, version 1.10*

While the app has some potential, I can't imagine how it can be useful without an 'open in' option.

I desperately want to replace dropbox with Jungle Disk due to the ability to encrypt files and the much better pricing, but alas, that is unlikely as long as the IOS app is lacking key features.

Please continue developing this app!

### 3/5 — Works but needs work

*2011-09-22, version 1.10*

I've been a Jungle Disk subscriber for about a year now, and I just downloaded this app to my iPhone 4 running iOS 4.3.5. If you login as others mentioned with your account info and not a sub-account it works fine. I'm using the Workgroup Edition of Jungle Disk BTW.

Several things that would be great to see in future versions of this.

   • Auto rotate. If viewing pics I'd like to see them landscape
   • Change the "Forget Password" button to a swipe, or relocate. Sometimes when clicking on the back arrow to go up a dir level, I'll accidentally hit it.
   • Play an MP3 when I click on it.
   * Auto move to next or previous photo in the dir I'm in if I swipe to one side or the other.

Otherwise, nice little app. Thanks

### 3/5 — Useless app but a good service

*2011-09-12, version 1.10*

You can only view or email the files in your JungleDisk with this app. There is no "open in" ability. With small files, the email function can help you get your files into other iPad apps. But for larger files, this app is useless.

The service itself is great. It's too bad they do not have a robust mobile strategy. If you are looking for a file sync service that plays well with the iPad, JungleDisk isn't the solution for you.

### 2/5 — Needs improvements

*2011-08-04, version 1.10*

This app seems to simple for what it needs to be for business.

An "open in" option is needed for users that want to import docs into pages, numbers, and iBooks. Also a "share with public link" option would be nice too instead of emailing an attachment. Kinda goes against the whole cloud idea and the public share option of jungle disk in the first place.

When you open the app after logging in, some users are confused since it won't show the home dir structure in the main window. You have to click the button on top or be in landscape mode.

### 2/5 — Very Basic File Manager

*2011-07-12, version 1.10*

Nice that it can render multiple file types and it's a Universal app, but I've grown accustomed to options in these kinds of apps that let you "Open In" or even edit within the application. WebDAV support would be great too.

In my opinion, this isn't the service or application you want if you're goal is to be able to work on the go, in your mobile device.

The company I work for just switched to JungleDisk service. Finally, we can all access files easily from multiple office locations, or wherever we are.

### 3/5 — an ok app, but it could be better..

*2011-02-02, version 1.10*

Its an ok app for accessing files you have stored through Jungle Disk, but the ability to send files to other apps, like to goodreader for PDFs, instead of only being able to email them would make it even better.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t get to files

*2020-10-18, version 3.0.1*

I can log in to my jungledisk account but when I tap to choose which disk I want, it just spins forever and doesn’t load.

### 1/5 — Not helpful

*2015-11-25, version 2.0.2*

My company uses Jungle Disk for our online storage and backup needs. We pay a lot of money for their services. While on the computer it is "acceptable" their mobile app is barely usable. The font used is huge, making it difficult to see file names. I use multiple drives and it is difficult to impossible to move files around.

Why make a mobile app if you don't support mobile use?

I actively petition my company to choose a different vendor.

### 1/5 — Used to be 4 star...

*2015-07-05, version 2.0.2*

Now for some reason it will not let me log in. The "log in" button will literally not let me push it after everything has been entered, and none of my information has changed in the last 5 years.

### 1/5 — What?!!

*2014-03-02, version 1.20.1*

How is this app usable in any way?! So far, not a single feature gives me access to anything I've uploaded through JD. It also fails to upload anything from my phone. I even got a processing error trying to upload a photo. Should I even mention the fact that it's still not updated for iPhone 5? I guess it has only been a year and a half, so maybe they deserve some slack on that. #pathetic

### 1/5 — Poor Support

*2014-02-05, version 1.20.1*

I was hoping that this app would grow into a useful tool to access files on iOS. There is no support for "open in" for files that I have apps for. All it appears to allow is emailing of files, which is useful. However it is silly to have to email myself a file to access "open in". This should have been fixed long ago.

### 1/5 — What's the point if you can't log in?

*2014-01-18, version 1.20.1*

Not sure if this is really an iOS app issue or a server issue, but I can't log into my account using this application, on iPhone or iPad. Same credentials work with the web interface, so I know I've got my account information correct.

Honestly, the only reason I'm still fiddling with this application and writing this review is because our Office uses Jungle Disk ... for now. Otherwise I would have dropped this system long ago.

If you're thinking about becoming a customer, just look for another service. Seriously, there are a ton out there.

### 1/5 — Needs overhaul

*2014-01-01, version 1.20.1*

It's a simple file browser. I could live with that, but it can't even view Office documents correctly. Hasn't had a major update in a long time. Needs an overhaul.

### 1/5 — Totally useless

*2013-04-02, version 1.20.1*

Wish I could give it 0 stars. You can look at your files, rename them or delete them, upload photos only. What good is a file server app if you can't download and work on the files, then save them back?! Infuriating.

### 1/5 — Can't even login

*2012-12-04, version 1.10*

I'm a workgroup user and it has never let me login. I keep getting the unknown user name error. I thought it was just my old iphone 4, but even with my new iphone 5, I keep getting the same error message.

### 1/5 — Not for lifetime subscribers

*2012-09-27, version 1.10*

I've been using JungleDisk on my desktop for 4 years. When I originally signed up I purchased a lifetime subscription. Now to use the ipad app I need to purchase an additional monthly subscription? I wouldn't mind a one-time app purchase but this is a poor way to treat loyal customers.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great product for security and backups

*2022-07-12, version 3.0.1*

Very easy to use and view my backups and files!

### 5/5 — Hellsyeah

*2015-02-13, version 2.0.2*

I can upload again

### 5/5 — Immensely important app to me!

*2014-07-04, version 2.0.1*

Monumental upgrade to previous version - great job! I've been awaiting this upgrade for years, and it's finally here... Works great. Easy to view docs, easy to download docs, easy to email docs. I haven't used it for very long yet, so I'll update my review if I find issues - but, so far so good!!!

### 5/5 — Finally - Online STORAGE

*2013-06-01, version 1.20.1*

I was looking for simple online storage but all I could find was online backup. Jungle can do both but can also just be one OR the other. Super easy to use too.

Great product.

### 5/5 — Works Fine

*2012-01-17, version 1.10*

I have no idea why everyone is having issues and crashes. Works perfectly on my iPad.

### 5/5 — No problems here

*2012-01-11, version 1.10*

Just installed, easily read text file, PDF, and MS Word file. Viewed jpg. Even streamed an mp3. Impressive app.

### 5/5 — Works Perfectly on iPad 4.2

*2010-11-27, version 0*

No crashes at al

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2010-06-12, version 0*

Does exactly what it supposed to - allows me to access my files stored on Jungledisk. Awesome.

### 5/5 — Works great

*2010-05-13, version 0*

Nice job guys. I can access all my stuff. I use workgroup.

Only suggestion I can make now is to allow the screen to flip to landscape when viewing certain files. It works if you flip before viewing things like spreadsheets. But after viewing you can't flip it.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2010-05-03, version 0*

My business emails quite a few PDF documents on a daily basis and this app makes it quite easy to email files on the go... Great product!
