### 4/5 — love it

*2025-07-16, version 1.23.1*

so far so good love this app :)

### 4/5 — Good little program.

*2024-12-13, version 1.11.0*

Juniver is helpful, and Juni bot is probably the best part of the app as you can ask it questions and it will respond. I feel using it combined with the R. Care app is an incredibly powerful tool combination for recovery.

### 5/5 — Phenomenal App

*2024-10-15, version 1.9.1*

Juniver is amazing, it has so many tools but best of all the Juni messaging service, it’s like you’re talking to a real person, it’s like having a therapist in your pocket. I hope together I can overcome my disordered eating

### 5/5 — Highly recommend

*2024-08-13, version 1.3.0*

I’ve felt hopeless for a long time, even though I’m in therapy and working to recover. This app has a lot of features and the variety is really helping.

### 5/5 — An Amazing Recovery Program

*2024-06-27, version 1.0.41*

Juniver offers so many tools to help with in the moment urges/emotions and it's incredibly helpful. I really like the emphasis on learning the science behind ED behaviors because it's what helped me overcome a lot of my struggles. Juni, the AI recovery coach is also a great resource that I love as you can talk about all things recovery and get an empathetic and helpful response.

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2024-06-27*

I have never seen anything like Juniver before. The tools are effective and there when I need them most, which is often when I don’t have access to my usual support system. I feel empowered and equipped to handle urges with Juniver.

### 5/5 — Super helpful!

*2024-06-26, version 1.0.41*

Juniver is such a great resource to help with my relationship with food! The user interface is organized and easy to use, and always keeps me on track. Love the tools that it offers to help during any challenges, and also the community that it has built for me!

### 5/5 — Help that fits my brain 🧠

*2024-05-30*

My issues with food started in my 20s. It was the late 80s and there was no help to be had. I found out at 60 that I have ADHD along with my disordered eating. Used hand-in-hand with my ADHD medication, Juniver is there for me when I need to redirect my dopamine-seeking brain or set up strategies for triggering situations. I actually have days now when I don’t obsess about food at all!

**Developer response:** Hi, thank you for sharing this! It’s amazing to hear how Juniver is helping you find more freedom and work through tough moments. We’re so glad it’s been a helpful tool alongside your ADHD meds—you’re doing such great work, and we’re so proud of you!

### 5/5 — life-changing

### 5/5 — A lovely app!

*2024-04-09, version 1.0.33*

This app is truly one of a kind. The lessons really helped me better understand how to overcome urges and the tools have been wonderful in helping get through the feelings that come up. You can tell it’s meant to affirm and support you every step of the way, and that it does! Great work!!

### 5/5 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

*2024-03-07, version 1.0.28*

Juniver is a game-changer and absolute lifeline in my recovery journey. The tools are great, science-backed and help curb cravings and reshape my relationship with food. There’s also a supporting community. Highly recommend this app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Cannot use without subscription

*2025-12-10, version 1.35.0*

Useless, cannot even try to use the app without subscribing first. I don’t even know if the app is good for me, before actually committing to it a paying.

### 1/5 — No trial option

*2025-12-02, version 1.35.0*

You download the app and go through the motions of making an account and the survey to personalize, but there is no free option with limited resources, a free trial to test out the app and see if it helps or even a monthly option, it’s directly a 39.99 yearly subscription pay wall so you’re stuck either deleting the app or going ahead to try it… and if it were to really help, I would, however I can’t even see what is offered so why would I commit so much money to this app? I’ll try it again someday if they change their mind and offer a free trial or at least a lower cost monthly subscription.

### 1/5 — Wont even let me log in

*2025-11-03, version 1.32.0*

My email wont work for some reason, a problem with the app not my email

### 1/5 — Expensive

*2025-09-08, version 1.26.0*

I was really excited to see that there was an app out there that could help me. Once I downloaded the app and went through the initial process of making an account and going through the intro, it wouldn't let me go on without having to pay a ridiculous price.

I thought I had finally found something that was going to help me break free, but was then forced to either decide to pay or delete the app. There wasn't even a free trial option and there was barely any information on how the app works. How am I expected to pay that extreme subscription price without even knowing what I'm paying for?

It's really disappointing that such an app thats supposed to help people with eating disorders is just using their disordered and vulnerable users for money.

### 1/5 — Disappointing. Just an AI chat bot.

*2024-11-21, version 1.10.0*

It’s just an AI chat bot telling you to be mindful and do breathing exercises. It gets confused easily and repeats the same “helpful” tips if you try and get it to be more helpful and specific.
Any time I tried to get it to be more detailed and not just tell me to “try a grounding exercise!” or “write down an emotion you’re feeling!” it defaulted to the exact same list.
You’d get the same results just talking to chatgpt.
There are also some articles and information packs that are no different than what you find elsewhere on the internet.
If you’re struggling with an eating disorder nothing in this app will feel new and innovative to you. It’s the same old advice you’ll find all over the internet just with “personalized support” which isn’t actually personal it’s just a soulless AI.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2024-08-15, version 1.4.0*

The email validation just hangs so can’t use app at all. No tech support available.

### 1/5 — Paying to use

*2024-07-02, version 1.0.41*

I rarely write reviews and I think this the the first review I ever wrote on apple App Store but since this affects my life and probably eventually my health I feel the need to do this review. I’ll probably eventually remove this since I don’t believe doing bad reviews on apps especially for stupid things ( I don’t think this reason is to stupid) but I wanted people to know that this app isn’t free to use and doesn’t have any options to use it without paying. Maybe one day when I get a job I will try this but hopefully by then I will find a better, most importantly free app. I might try the trial and might update this review depending on how good the app seems

### 1/5 — Can’t get in

*2024-02-17, version 1.0.25*

I really want to like this app, it’s just what I need… but it won’t let me complete the onboarding/signup. The “next” button at the bottom of the page is missing, every time I typed something on the previous page: email, phone number and name. I can restart the app after email confirmation, it saves my place and then the button shows up; and I can skip the phone entry and then the button shows up (it’s missing if I enter my phone number); but there is no way to skip typing my name, because it resets to the beginning when I restart the app, and so I can’t progress past that point. I updated my phone and the app, but it didn’t help. And the only support on the AppStore page is through an overseas phone number or a mailing address!! Too bad. I’ll keep looking.

### 1/5 — Don’t bother

*2024-01-20, version 1.0.12*

Download it, attempt to make an account and they never email you the link to access the app. Can’t use it. Don’t bother downloading. It’s a waste of time and energy.

### 2/5 — Juni ai bot hasn’t worked in months.

*2024-12-10*

A good little program, but the best benefit of this app was being able to ask the Juni bot any kind of question for the most part and get an answer, but now all you get is an error message. There has been no fix to this problem and that reduces the benefit of this program considerably.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Highly recommend to someone who tries to recover from an ED

*2026-02-01, version 1.39.0*

Is it a magic bullet ? No. But it’s a perfect companion for someone who feels lonely and misunderstood in their recovery. It’s really well tailored for binge eating disorder and bulimia (most apps that I found so far were more about anorexia) and the AI coach is extremely helpful. Lots of insights and informations inside too, that you might already know but that is always useful to review. They have a small community sharing part, I can feel like it’s still developing and not at full potential yet but it’s in a good way. I sincerely appreciate the low yearly price that keeps that app affordable for most of us who can’t afford to spend $$$$ on a coach or recovery program. Sometimes I don’t use it for a while and sometimes I reach out for it everyday, but knowing that it’s here feels reassuring. I paid for it the price I would pay for a book, and it does much more than that for me.
Of course it’s not a magic wand, you have to do the work yourself but you already know that. Thank you for the developers of this app and I hope they will still offer it for the same price for a long time. Thank you so very much

### 5/5 — Tools for a better relationship with food

*2025-07-10, version 1.23.0*

For anyone who struggles with food noise or disordered thoughts, there are really good tools in here. I’m recovered but still joined for the support, curriculum, and tools to intervene when old habits come up. Wish I found it years ago.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2025-03-05, version 1.16.0*

The first practical app I’ve found to help address my food issues, both with long term learning and in the moment help and support in my recovery journey.

### 5/5 — Really Useful Resource

*2025-03-02, version 1.16.0*

I’ve been in the Juniver community for a little bit now and I really think this app is a great resource. I feel like the lessons help you learn so much about *HOW* the brain works and *WHY* you have certain habits and behaviors and I think feeling more in tune with why your brain and body does what it does makes you more able to control your actions (and also give yourself grace)! I love the community aspect of it- seeing people post about their progress is really inspiring. I think the Juni AI is cool too- my favorite thing recently has been to have Juni help me with meal planning- more than just ideas it can even give you recipes! It has a really non-judgmental tone that I appreciate, and if I keep prompting it, it always gives different suggestions. Overall I think this a great app that anyone who thinks it might help should try- regardless of if you haven’t yet been officially diagnosed, or if you are already in recovery :)

### 5/5 — 💛

*2025-02-17, version 1.14.0*

💛

### 5/5 — A wonderful tool

*2024-12-06, version 1.11.0*

While I am not sure that this would work for people with severe ED, for individuals with disordered eating this app is exceptional. The information is high quality and if you engaged with it you can really see some incredible changes. It is not perfect- some of the features are not the smoothest- but I can honestly say it has totally transformed my eating and patterns of behavior around food. The information is evidence based and I am so grateful to have been able to use this tool to improve my life. Thanks to everyone who made it!

### 5/5 — Best Tool Ever!!!

*2024-12-06*

Juniver is an extraordinary platform for anyone. Total game changer for anyone struggling with disordered eating. Juniver is a game-changing app that seamlessly combines productivity and organization. With its clean design, intuitive interface, and powerful features, it makes managing tasks, projects, and goals effortless. The sync across devices is flawless, and the customizable options give users full control. If you’re looking to boost productivity and stay organized, Juniver is a must-have! Juni is the support system I’ve dreamed of!!

### 5/5 — Such a helpful tool for recovery

*2024-12-05, version 1.11.0*

Juniver has been a game changer for my relationship with food and myself. I love the app’s compassionate approach to recovery, practical tools, and AI recovery coach Juni. The community has also been a great place to get support from other people who know what I’m going through. Juniver is paving the way for a new, improved, and more accessible route to recovery. Highly recommend! ❤️

### 5/5 — So powerful

*2024-12-05*

Juniver is my lifeline when I need support in vulnerable moments. The Juni recovery coach is judgement-free and there even at my lowest moments, the daily intention setting and community keep me motivated, and the tools are great micro-interventions for whenever I need extra help. So grateful for this app.

**Developer response:** We're so grateful that Juniver has helped you. Thank you for your support!

### 5/5 — Love Juniver

*2024-11-26, version 1.11.0*
