## What is JUNKRUNNER?

Buy junk. Jump stars. Get rich. Repeat, forever.
A pixel-art space trading and idle game about scrap, nerve, and one very overloaded ship.

You are a scrap smuggler with a leaky hull and a big idea: buy cheap at one station, warp to the next, sell dear. Spend the profit on a ship that hauls farther and a Yard that keeps earning while you are away. Try not to ask what's in crate 9.

TRADE THE STARS
- Seven stations, each with its own look and mood: rust and dust, neon and scanlines, frost and bells, spores and pads.
- Prices move in waves. Little price bars in the Market list follow each station's price.
- Market shocks, from sector 2: a scare or a strike makes a good scarce or cheap at a dock, and the ripple spreads before it fades. The ticker names the cause.
- Stations remember you. Sell at one often and climb from STRANGER to FAMILY. Each tier pays a little more.
- Take contracts and quests for bonus credits. Catch the bonus flips: now and then a sale you just made pays double.
- Tap HAGGLE? on a big sale and beat the broker's timing bar for a little extra. Skip it any time.
- Dock brokers now and then offer a one-time swap, or to take your whole hold at once.
- Save a profitable trip and replay it from the MAP tab. It pauses and asks before buying if prices turn against you.

RIVAL HAULERS
- Old Moth, The Twins and Vex work your lanes. They flood one dock and buy out another, and the ticker says who did it.
- Out-haul them over a month on the Rival Board and light up their colours.

HOT CARGO (OPTIONAL)
- Contraband pays extra at the fences, but it builds Heat and can draw a cartoon customs scan. Declare it, bribe the inspector for a chance to keep it, or act natural with one timing tap. Only the hot goods are at risk.
- Never buy contraband and none of this happens.

BUILD YOUR YARD
- Ten rigs, from vending drones to a Dyson scaffold, grow visibly on your very own scrap planet.
- Hire managers and the Yard earns while you're away.
- Four rigs eat cargo: feed them a load from your hold for bonus income while it lasts.
- Tap CLOCK OFF for a shift summary. Come back to a pile of credits. Spend them. Obviously.

GO FURTHER OUT
- Upgrade your ship. Unlock sector gates into deeper, richer, weirder space.
- Earn the Skiff at Rank 5 and the Tug at Rank 10. The Manta and the Junk Barge are optional one-time hull purchases in the Hangar. Hulls never change your stats, and every hull has free paint jobs to earn in play.
- No finish line. The galaxy is endless and so is the hustle.

STORY AND COMFORT
- Captain's Log: a short story entry unlocks at each new rank title and big gate. Name your captain, or skip it.
- Dockside rumors: some tips come true, some are junk.
- Back after a while? A welcome-back card shows what the Yard pays and your next goal.
- Calm Market option: a slower ticker, no screen flashes, big price moves as one steady line of text.

PLAYS THE WAY YOU DO
- Quick trades on the bus, long idle stretches overnight.
- Chiptune-style music and sound, with mute and volume controls.
- Plays offline. Saves stay on your phone. No account, no ads, no tracking.

Free to play. Only the hull purchases cost real money, and they are optional.

Mild cartoon pirate flavor text.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.5.3 — 2026-10-27

New in 1.5.3 (the first update since launch):

- Market shocks, from sector 2: now and then a scare or a strike makes one good scarce or cheap at a dock, and the ripple spreads to nearby docks before it fades. The Market ticker names the cause, and a bolt marks the affected good in the Market list.
- Market rows now show little price bars that follow this station's price.
- Salvage rockets fly all the way off the top of the screen and land with a puff of dust.
- New hulls: earn the Skiff at Rank 5 and the Tug at Rank 10, or pick up the Manta or the Junk Barge in the Hangar. Every hull has free paint jobs to earn.
- Rival haulers: Old Moth, The Twins and Vex trade your lanes and move the markets. Out-haul them on the new Rival Board in MORE.
- Stations remember you and pay regulars a little better. Save a profitable trip and replay it from the MAP tab. Haggle on big sales, take one-time broker offers, and feed Yard rigs for bonus income.
- Optional hot cargo: contraband pays extra at the fences but can draw a cartoon customs scan.
- Captain's Log story entries as you rank up, a name for your captain, dockside rumors, a welcome-back briefing, CLOCK OFF in the Yard, and a Calm Market comfort option.
- Contracts are easier to deliver: the DELIVER button shows the pay and where to deliver, and a one-time tip appears when your hold matches a contract at another station. The star map says YOU ARE HERE, shows PRESS JUMP once a route is plotted, and tapping near a station selects it. Buttons are bigger across the market, the map and dialogs, and the 25% / 50% / 75% / MAX buttons in the buy and sell windows no longer run into each other.
- Drag the Market ticker sideways to scrub it forward or back.
- Fixes: the market list no longer goes blank at small docks after scrolling a long list, a clearer first session, steadier warps, safer save import, and many smaller fixes across the map, Yard, Hangar and contracts.

All of it plays offline and stays on your device. Still no ads.
