However, the ultimate test is the accuracy of the positions of the moons. In this app, the positions are not even close. I thought that maybe the time was off by some constant value, but this not the case. I hope the developer will correct the problem. Also, I would love to see the Giant Red Spot included in a future version. It’s the one app I have that does exactly what it says. Not one Io more and not one Europa less. I can’t imagine why it’s wrong, given that it has a single function — showing the positions of Jupiter’s four Galilean moons — but as it is, it’s useless. Addendum: The app has another strange feature — the four moons all pass back and forth across the front of the planet over and over. They never go around the “back” side of Jupiter as they orbit, as you would expect them to do.
