### 4/5 — Almost Perfect

*2026-08-30, version 1.6.6*

The issue I’ve had is I have to “save” recipes twice for them to save to a particular topic. If only “save” them once, they don’t save. Otherwise, this website is amazing. It even works with some crochet and knit websites!

### 4/5 — A Meal Plan Please

*2026-08-09, version 1.6.6*

The App is great! Just one thing missing.
How about including a place where we can plan meals from recipes already saved. Then it would make sense of the shopping list, so we don’t end up buying items and wonder what they were meant for. Thank you.

### 5/5 — THE BEST

*2026-07-18, version 1.6.5*

This app is truly a time-saver. I can add my own recipes and pictures of foods that I make. Better yet, when I look online for inspiration and find a good recipe but there is a lot of clutter with advertising or simply narratives, I can save the recipe with ‘just’ the ingredients and directions. Then when I want to remember the narrative or read comments, this app saves the website and I can refer to the original. Truly the best.

### 5/5 — YAPPERS

*2026-07-08, version 1.6.5*

STOP INCLUDING YOUR AUTOBIOGRAPHY IN THE RECIPE

### 5/5 — Where has this app been all my life?

*2026-07-05, version 1.6.5*

So grateful to have an app that streamlines recipes! It does exactly what it says it does!

### 5/5 — Good so far!

*2026-06-29, version 1.6.5*

Love this app, so tired of ads and things popping up when I’m try to see ingredients. I’ve only started using but it’s great to have just the recipe!!! Thanks :)

### 5/5 — Decluttered my recipes AND my browser tabs!

*2026-06-29, version 1.6.5*

I just went through my Firefox, Chrome and Safari inactive tabs from my phone and added the dozens upon dozens of recipes I had sitting there into Just the Recipe. Every single one worked perfectly, and most of them with pictures! Huge fan.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2026-06-28, version 1.6.5*

Ease of use exceptional

### 4/5 — Great App

*2026-06-28, version 1.6.5*

Great app, has to be one of my go to apps, as I love spending time in the kitchen. It makes keeping track of all my recipes and editing them to what I want easy. And grabbing recipes off annoying blogs a breeze. Sometimes it’s been getting conversions wrong lately. Scaling up some correctly, and not others. They also keep promising updates that don’t seem to come.

### 5/5 — Excellent App - much needed in this day and age of rampant ad placement

*2026-06-27, version 1.6.5*

Love this app - it makes following recipes off most food blogs infinitely less painful (you know when you're trying to read the recipe and the page keeps refreshing because of ads sprinkled throughout the page?)
I would like to request the ability to add subcategories within the Ingredients and Process lists. Like a lot of recipes I'm looking for online that are Indian or South Pacific split the ingredients into groups for different steps of the recipe, but when I import it to the app the ingredients the subtitles don't follow. 🙏

### 5/5 — Awesome Sauce!

*2026-06-26, version 1.6.5*

So perfect! Works with so many different sites including TikTok!

### 5/5 — Just wonderful

*2026-06-14, version 1.6.4*

I hate all the ads on recipe sites. This is worth not having to deal with them.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2026-06-09, version 1.6.4*

A game changer with getting online recipes. Strips away all the junk from a webpage and just leaves the ingredients and directions. Brilliant!

### 5/5 — Honestly good app and company

*2026-05-28, version 1.6.4*

Does what it says on the label. It’s just a really simple way to import internet recipes without the ads and blah blah. Keeps them for later and converts between imperial and metric, also converts serving sizes. Doesn’t try to bully you into anything overpriced subscription or bombard you with warnings and ads. It does have a paid version but it’s not scummy about advertising.

### 5/5 — Love

*2026-05-25, version 1.6.4*

Just love. Great app. Does what it says it does.

### 5/5 — ADHD

*2026-05-12, version 1.6.3*

I have adhd so this very easy for me to focus without all the ads and not getting distracted while actually just trying to get a recipe and make it. Without all the ads

### 5/5 — Cuts Out All The Fluff

*2026-05-12, version 1.6.3*

I love looking for recipes. I dislike having to scroll through so much stuff even after clicking “Jump to Recipe.”
This app solves all of that! And you can even put in your own modifications in the notes. You can organize it how you like and it just really simplifies things.

### 3/5 — Handy but limited…

*2026-05-10, version 1.6.3*

The app does what it says. It filters out the noise from web-based recipes. However, it falls short of being useful as a library for all of your recipes because it lacks a lot of features. There is a manual entry option, but it is clunky and full of controls that you cycle through one after the other. MyFitnessPal recipe entry by comparison is streamlined. You can freehand all of the ingredients in one giant Text box and it will interpret it for you. If you’ve got a recipe as a PDF, Word doc or Text file, this app has nothing for you. Have a binder at home with family recipes in it? There’s no way to take a picture and import. In fact, there is no import of any sort apart from a website. To their credit, the list of websites is extensive. I dropped the rating another star because I find the interface counterintuitive. Lots of room for improvement. I have used this app for a few years now and would love to see it evolve.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bugs?

*2026-08-15, version 1.6.6*

Paid a full year just for it stop working with tiktok imports out of nowhere?

### 1/5 — Poor customer support

*2026-07-27, version 1.6.5*

Maybe I should say NO support. Have been trying for days to recover my paid subscription with no luck

### 1/5 — Disappointed.

*2026-03-02, version 1.5.8*

Thought you could use a pdf for input. Was I wrong.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-12-21, version 1.5.7*

Tried pasting the recipe link in and it just brings me to a sample recipe

### 1/5 — Stopped working on every site

*2025-12-13, version 1.5.7*

The past five recipes I have tried to put in the app were “formatted incorrectly” which is wild. These sites are ones I have used before and gotten recipes from before. They didn’t suddenly change to a new formatting type. But no, no matter what sort of link I put in, the app won’t accept it.
So then I’ll try to enter it manually. Except the app closes and resets every time I navigate away from it. Like when I go to the web page to see what next ingredient I need to individually copy/paste, because I can’t copy/paste the entire list. So I have to save the recipe after every edit, then open it again to add the next part, so adding a long recipe can take upwards of 20+ minutes, to the point that just scrolling through the recipe would be faster by far.
To top it off, you can’t highlight more than a single word at a time, so that even if you copy/pasted everything, it’s an exercise in frustration to try and move them around. There’s no way to create headings and such in the recipes, like recipes that are imported have. So you can’t differentiate between say, a marinade and the rest of the ingredients.

### 1/5 — Needs lots of work

*2025-12-02, version 1.5.7*

So this app only has one thing it needs to do, extract recipes. It will not do so from Facebook, Instagram isn’t working, and it might or might not do so from the web. So far my experience it’s been about 30% success rate

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-11-14, version 1.5.7*

Was great until one day all my recipes disappeared 😕

### 1/5 — Four recipes from different websites, none of them were compatible with this app. Waste of time.

*2025-07-16, version 1.5.2*

Doesn’t function.

### 1/5 — Worthless site

*2025-05-08, version 1.4.10*

Downloaded the app
Wont open
Tried 3 times
Too bad will try a different app

### 1/5 — Deletes Recipes

*2025-04-10, version 1.4.10*

I had quite a few recipes saved that started disappearing every time I tried to click on a collection. I’d say about 75% of them disappeared recently.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Recipes without the life story

*2026-08-30, version 1.6.6*

This application is invaluable for recipes. No more scrolling through pop-up video ads or detailed information about the authors trip to Italy or their families health conditions. Just the recipe you wanted, and nicely formatted.

### 5/5 — LOVE

*2026-08-29, version 1.6.6*

This app is amazing, I use it all the time! Super convenient & LOVE that it’s free.

### 5/5 — Does exactly what it advertises!

*2026-08-25, version 1.6.6*

No more BS stories about the writer’s childhood when their grandma made them the dish, no more nonsense fluff, no more auto reloading pages. Probably my favorite app ever!

### 5/5 — Best APP ever!

*2026-08-21, version 1.6.6*

I use this app all the time. Just love it!

### 5/5 — One of the best apps I’ve used in a long time!

*2026-08-08, version 1.6.6*

Every now and then an app comes along that takes a lot of annoyance out of the Internet and this is one of them! Getting recipes online is so frustrating with all the pop-ups and videos and all the preamble. All you have to do is paste the URL in and the recipe is just there. You can even save your favourite recipes in the app. It is awesome!

### 5/5 — Fantastic App!

*2026-08-07, version 1.6.6*

Absolutely love that it takes away all the lengthy blogs, extra material & gets straight to the point….the recipe!

### 5/5 — Self input

*2026-08-02, version 1.6.6*

This is fantastic but I would like to be able to add my own recipes or recipes from Instagram and FB so I can keep all my recipes in one place.

### 5/5 — My favorite app

*2026-08-01, version 1.6.6*

My favorite app that I use all the time. I also use it as my shopping list.

### 5/5 — Simple, useful, brilliant

*2026-07-26, version 1.6.5*

This app is so helpful! You just copy and paste a URL and it declutters the recipe and just gives you the ingredients and the instructions. No scrolling for days or ads in every corner. It can even watch a video and make a recipe from the video, even if the caption doesn’t have details! So impressive and so simple. You can then save recipes, edit them if you tweak things, and can make a shopping list directly from the app. It fills a need I didn’t even know was there. Thank you!

### 5/5 — NoMoreAds

*2026-07-21, version 1.6.5*

I got so fed up wading through the deluge of ads on Pinterest to find a recipe! This app is clean, easy to use and NO ADS!😁
