Worth Every Penny *2025-09-09* It’s rare to find a game that competes with the classics — if you like LCG Entertainment games like “Tales of” or “Return to” Monkey Island, this is a MUST PLAY. It’s rare to find a game that after you’ve played it, you think, “that was a lot of game for $5.” But it fits the bill. “Justin Wack’s BTH” felt like it was worth every penny of the $5 price. I’m not someone who usually cares about the story line — I play the game to solve the puzzles. However, this one drew me in. By the end, I was invested in the story & reading every piece of dialogue. The game does have objectives you have to meet to advance the narrative, but you’re able to go where ever you want, at almost anytime, to find the answers for the puzzles. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about this game. I’m sad it’s over & I was really hoping when I clicked on “Warm Kitten” I’d find a catalogue of games or at the very least, another game I could play… guess I’ll just have to look forward to the next! ### 5/5 — Excellent *2025-09-07, version 3.3.0* Beautifully done! So, I’m always on the lookout for story-based, uplifting, and child-appropriate games. We’ve played a bunch already, our favorites being “Lost in Play”, “Dexter Stardust”, and perhaps “Nelly Cootalot”. I thought nothing could come close to Lost in Play, but Justin Wack now ranks the best on our list! We’ve spent multiple days on the game, as we don’t play too long in one sitting. The game is funny, clever, and appropriately challenging. We only occasionally needed hints. One word of advice - do not tell Daela that you do not want any hints just to see what happens! I’m just impatient. So with that in mind I thought this game was very difficult. It was definitely not intuitive. You really had to try every scenario possible and even then there were parts I don’t believe I would ever have figured out on my own. Eg: rabbit trap in the hatch. I have all the items but can’t combine to create the trap. Sehr schöne, unterhaltsame Story mit ein paar lustigen Referenzen zu anderen bekannten Spieleklassikern. Die Dialoge mit NPCs sind interessant und fühlen sich nicht zu lange an. Auch die Grafik und der Sound sind auf absolutem Top-Niveau und können mit LucasArts-Titeln und anderen bekannten Spielen wie Simon the Sorcerer und Baphomets Fluch locker (!) mithalten. Und was ich persönlich besonders positiv fand, waren einerseits die Rätsel und außerdem die Steuerung: Bei den Rätseln wechseln sich in stetem Rhythmus zahlreiche leichtere Rätsel mit wenigen schwierigeren Rätsel ab wodurch das Spiel insgesamt sehr flüssig und angenehm spielbar ist. Es kommt weder Frust wegen zu vieler schwieriger Rätsel auf noch Langeweile wegen zu viel einfacher - es ist perfekt austariert! Und die Steuerung auf iPhone war besser als ich es von irgendeinem anderen PnC kenne: Alle Objekte mit denen man interagieren kann, sind markiert (kann man aber abschalten, wenn man das nicht mag) und die Charaktere gehen sehr zügig von einem Screen zum nächsten. Die Wege sind durchweg kurz gehalten, so dass man sich praktisch nie darüber ärgern muss, mehrere Screens passieren zu müssen, um von A nach B zu kommen. Auch das Inventar erreicht man gut, es kann im Grunde kontinuierlich offen bleiben, ohne dass es stört. Man kommt also mit sehr wenig Klicks und sehr wenig Wartezeit durch. Das gesamte Spiel ist wirklich sehr sehr gelungen! Ich wünsche den Entwicklern den größtmöglichen und verdienten Erfolg mit diesem Spiel und hoffe, dass wir eine Sequel dazu sehen werden! Danke für dieses Meisterwerk - jeder, der PnC Adventures mag, sollte das gespielt haben!
