My runs from external sources are no longer showing up, my xp points no longer update and part of the time challenges fail to start. Hopefully updates are coming as it’s an app I use most days. ### 3/5 — Great ideas but not fully functional yet *2023-04-14, version 3.7.9* This is a great app. And rewards you with digital currency in your wallet for exercising, supporting other users, and plants trees when you take 50K Steps. Currently, I can’t do anything with the digital currency I’ve earned. I can’t trade it, or withdraw it, so it’s kinda redundant. Any updates on this, team? ### 2/5 — It’s dead *2022-05-29, version 3.6.8* Nice app and good for motivation but the project looks dead. And whatever you earn in the app stays in the app. ### 3/5 — Stopped connecting *2021-11-22* The app just stopped connecting to my Garmin. There is no way to refresh or reconnect. I offloaded the app and reinstalled, and it’s not better. This needs to be fixed. ### 2/5 — Promising but doesn’t actually do anything *2021-09-20* I’ve been earning “points” for months and can’t do anything with them. The store launch keeps getting extending, I can’t cash them out-what’s the point? Now they say you can earn Bitcoin for steps and I’ve only received Bitcoin for 1 day and I log nearly 10,000 steps every day. This app seems almost pointless, but I do enjoy the virtual races every now and then. ### 4/5 — In App Store *2021-06-20* They promote an in App Store but I don’t think it will ever open. Kind of disappointing. ### 2/5 — Limited *2021-05-28* Cool concept but doesn’t integrate with common activity tracking apps so missing the boat on collecting all the activities from apps like Strava, Garmin Connect, Runkeeper, etc. ### 3/5 — Good but needs work *2021-02-06* I used this for a fundraiser 5K I participated in. It’s a great app, however I was a little disappointed when my Apple Watch said I was done with the 5K and this app said I still had 0.25 miles to go. The app and my Watch were perfectly in sync until I got to 2.85 miles when the app said I was at 2.85 miles for awhile while my watch said I was at 2.9, 2.95, etc. ### 2/5 — It’s good but..... *2020-08-28, version 3.2.3* It’s good when it comes to how you earn the points and how often, but I wish there was more choice on how to use these point, things like PayPal or gift cards rather than %off coupons ### 1/5 — Sing in with Apple? *2020-06-28, version 3.2.2* Isn’t this app required to offer a “Sign in with Apple” option as well as the Google and Facebook log in’s? ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App users *2025-06-01* This app is great at the beginning i downloaded at 2022 but now it stops working it doesn’t show what steps I walked. I had some amount of sats also it doesn’t show now so I think it also a scam. I not it must have to sho up my earnings a the app when I open app it just going round and round. Means doesn’t load up. However, after slowing accumulating rewards; everything has disappeared. My wallet is empty. All of my history is gone! Nothing on twitter, blog hasn’t been updated in a year. Discord and Telegram do no exist. What happened to the plan of being able to sell tokens on an exchange? That was the last blog post. Now I cannot access any of my history, I cannot add a new activity. When I try and switch from one area of the app to the other it freezes I have to shut the whole thing off. ### 1/5 — Mediocre and doesn’t connect to Apple Watch *2020-10-23* Downloaded for a charity virtual race. But the app is mediocre. Won’t connect to apple watch. Read other reviews where developer continually responded saying to email support. Tried that and got no response. Stick with MapMyRun.
