After a very long time connected it will sometimes allow me to access the menu after taping the connect it frequently does not work. I’ve spent years to finally get it connect and now it only pops up and plays some random play list I have no clue how it got. I can’t delete it can’t find info on how to change it. I have to wait for it to load that list before I can go turn on Apple Music and choose the music I really want. It’s frustrating I’m not an idiot but I also don’t waste a ton of time on this issue as well it’s not ultimately important. Had to reset all my settings on my iPhone just to be able to download it and that should have been a dead giveaway that it was junk and a total waste of phone storage. Takes an hour to figure out how to get the app to connect to your stereo. Then once it does it constantly disconnects whenever you do anything else on your phone. App will only play music from your phone via BT so connecting via USB is non existent of which USB is the better quality. Why can’t the Bluetooth just be used for controls. I don’t need a media player within the jvc app. When my phone does it the best. Obviously JVC gave up on this 2 years ago cause that was the last update they put out for this app. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — KD-T925BTS - Working *2024-12-09, version 1.9.5* Here’s how I got mine to work. I have a KD-T925BTS. I was having trouble initially getting the app to work fully, at first only being able to control the music on my phone but nothing else and ended up uninstalling, reinstalling etc. What worked is: 1. On the radio settings, under System, you just enable the “Remote” functionality. 2. After a couple unsuccessful tries it finally paired to remote app and indicated I needed to upgrade the radio firmware. 3. I upgraded the radio firmware and INSTANTLY, radio connected to the remote app and I was bake to set the EQ, display color, speaker settings etc. Again this is what is worked for me and this model of JVC but worth trying for other models too . ### 5/5 — Satisfied customer *2021-01-28, version 1.8.7* I don’t know why people are having difficulty I have had nothing but success but then again I’m not an idiot. If you have trouble then it must be with you🤣 overall this is a wonderful app I was not expecting all the things I can do with my sound. Sound separation etc was really cool because now my sound is so much clearer. I highly recommend this app to any new people deciding on it. To the developers: great app and maybe think about putting a price on this app I would’ve paid an upgrade service up to $10 ✌️ ### 5/5 — APP DOES WORK VVV *2019-09-05, version 1.8.7* Like the other reviews I thought that this app did not work, IT DOES! people aren’t connecting to it correctly, hold down the menu button and find where you switch between iOS or android after that follow the rest of of the guide and pull up the app you should be in the iPod source and it should connect! ### 5/5 — Works as intended *2019-04-21* I have an iPhone 7plus and a JVC kw-x830bts. To connect you have to be in iPhone bt mode not Bluetooth audio mode. I assume it would be the same for a google phone. The only mode that you cannot use is usb mode (for playing a thumb drive with audio). All functions work properly including EQ edit settings, color. It displays what is playing. I also use this app while listening to iHeartRadio and it works seamlessly. Then I read the error message FULLY. Forget about turning your car off and on. That’s not the issue, and it doesn’t work. The issue that they don’t mention directly is that you need the car stereo set to a certain mode. Make sure the source is: IPOD BT. It can’t just be on Bluetooth it won’t recognize what you’re doing. Since I’ve done that. I’ve been able to get in the car, wait about 5-10 seconds to pair with stereo while I get my seatbelt on, turn on the app, (which I went to preferences and made sure it vibrates on sync so I know right away if it’s connecting) and It connects within seconds in the IPOD BT mode. The vibrate gives you more easy that you’re connecting. Then you can adjust the settings and little more easier. As for the makeup of the app and what it can do. It’s like a generic remote control it gets the job done. ### 4/5 — Not bad *2018-01-24* Works well it just lags a little bit when you switch between songs. Other than that, no problems. Connected first try on my iPhone 8 Plus.
