## What is JW Event Notes?

JW Event Notes is an app designed to help you take, organize, and review notes during assemblies, regional conventions, and other events.

With a simple and intuitive structure, you can manually create events, import available programs, import local JSON files, browse the program by days and sessions, write notes for each program item, and keep useful information about themes, speakers, and review questions.

The app is made for those who want to follow the program closely and keep their notes well organized for later review.

Your notes are personal. Information is stored on your device and/or in your iCloud. The app does not collect personal data, does not use analytics, and does not require an extra account.

Important note: JW Event Notes is an independent app. It is not an official app of the organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses and is not associated with, sponsored by, or approved by Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania or any related entity. Imported program files are provided only to help with personal organization and may contain inaccuracies.

### 2.1 — 2026-08-11

This update brings two improvements:

• Note summaries with Apple Intelligence — create a private summary of your notes entirely on your device. You review and edit it before saving, and nothing ever leaves your device.
• Smarter Bible references — tap a whole chapter (e.g. "John 13") to open the full chapter in JW Library, and references with separate verses (e.g. "John 13:3, 6") now each become their own tappable link.

Your existing notes and data stay exactly as they were.

### 2.0 — 2026-07-18

• New: "Import Archive" — recreate past events from a JSON file that also includes your personal notes and question answers, so you don't have to retype them.
• Notes are matched automatically to each program item.
• This flow always creates a new event and never changes events you already have.
• Dedicated help with examples and sample files.

### 1.9 — 2026-07-12

Fixes an issue in the notes editor where the first tap sometimes didn't place the cursor or open the keyboard, requiring a second tap or a long press. Tapping now responds immediately again.

### 1.8 — 2026-07-11

What's new in this update:
• New: scripture references you type in your notes (e.g. John 3:16, Psalm 37:23-24) are highlighted and open in JW Library when tapped. If JW Library isn't installed, the jw.org website opens instead.
• Reference detection in 6 languages (Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, Italian and German).
• You can turn this feature on or off in Settings.
• Mac: the notes editor now fills the entire window.
• iPad: the writing area now adjusts correctly to the keyboard, in both portrait and landscape.
• Layout fixes and stability improvements.
