### 4/5 — Include Gulika

*2013-09-22*

Please include the position of Gulika/Mandi. In Vedic astrology position of Gulika is also important.

### 4/5 — Good but needs more details

*2013-02-12, version 1.4*

Quite good for a Vedic astrology app, like to see greater break down of Vimsotoru Dasa going beyond just major and sub-periods and into sub-sub-periods. You have to pinpoint the birth location on the map (can't be don't by typing city name).
A raja yoga calculator and nakshatta descriptions be great. You need to know astrology pretty well to intepret.
Otherwise good as far as apps go. I'll give it 3.5 stars.

### 3/5 — Good

*2012-08-02*

It does the basic job of making a horoscope. It saves me time, however would like to see more improvements. For example, degrees with planet names, sub dasha periods any more will be better.

### 4/5 — bien

*2012-06-16*

bonne mise à jour
manque les yogas et une petite interprétation
merci

### 4/5 — Nice app that summarises astrology

*2012-06-09*

A good app that can make u understand jyotisha in a nutshell . However does not interpret events well . But in this price it is worth it for people who are intrested in astrology !

### 4/5 — Jyotish-Vedic astrology computer

*2012-02-25*

Great app for us Jyotishis. I want to start with thanking the person who created it & encourage them to make it even better.
The downside to this app is this: It's really only good for looking at a chart (D1) & the constellations/natshatras in a general way as I found most of the divisional charts were off significantly as the minor-seeming minute off of the planetary degrees really messes things up in the divisional charts. I'm praying the maker of this app will correct the longitude/latitude to allow the seconds as I believe that is what is causing this problem.
If that is corrected & there are more features added (like more D charts), a clock like now chart (where it moves automatically without one needing to refresh it) & a longitude/latitude auto look up atlas (Maybe there is one, I couldn't get it to find the correct ones without putting it in manually which defeats the purpose of it being an on the fly thing of inputting someone's chart when I'm away from my computer) and the option to add in the outer planets if we wanted to as well as have a panchanga (I know, I'm asking for a lot here! :) )...it would be over the moon fantastic. Overall not upset I purchased it, yet a bit let down about the D chart inaccuracy, yet betting that the creator will fix this…so…if you want a nice chart maker to have with you at all times, & don't need it to be for detailed chart analysis, then you will be happy.

### 4/5 — Wrong Calculations

*2011-12-15, version 1.0*

Nice app for Vedic astrology. Pls. add some more calculations. Thanks.

### 3/5 — Good Beginning

*2011-12-09*

This is the only app which is useful for a Vedic Astrology Student and Teacher. However if certain improvements are made this app can be the best app on the app store for Vedic astrology students and teachers. Suggestions for improvements are:

1) Add ATLAS Feature as entering longitude and laitude for cities is a cumbersome procedure.

2) Add more charts. At the moment only D1 AND D9 are added. For ex. Moon chart, D2, D3 , etc.

3) Add Annual Chart (Varshaphal) with Annual Dashas.

4) Add more Ayanmasa options. Lahiri Ayanmasa is the most popular and widely used Ayanmasa.

5) Add Strength of Planets (Shad Bala)

6) Add Compatibilty (Ashtkoot Milan) between two charts (which is used for marriage)

7) Though Here and Now feature is given, Transit (Gochar) Charts can be added and worked upon as a seperate feature.

If some of the above features are added, this app can be an all time great for Vedic Astrology students and teachers worldwide. I hope and pray the developer does work upon this software as it is a good begonning in the right direction. Been waiting for years for a vedic astrology app like this one which provides funtionality to students and teachers rather than common horoscopy readings.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — D1 chart is incorrect

*2022-01-30*

Basic D1 chart is not generated correctly . Please fix the bugs

### 1/5 — The calculation is wrong.

*2021-08-26*

The chart is wrong. Useless app.

### 1/5 — Wrong calculations and impossible place search

*2021-04-13, version 3.7*

The vara (day) calculation is wrong. All in all I wasted my
Money on an app with limited features, hard to find place of birth and very limited features

### 1/5 — Inaccurate charts

*2012-01-24*

I'm finding this app to create inaccurate charts. The degrees are slightly off if I compare it to a Parashara chart. This effects the Navamsha and nakshatras. Hoping for a refund.

### 1/5 — The most useless program I have seen.

*2011-12-30*

I know both tropical and sideral Ayanamsa

The program is poor for the price. No divisional charts aspects bhava balsa astavarga charts or any of that we need as astrologers

Check it out you moron.

### 1/5 — Not ready for prime time

*2011-12-26, version 1.0*

Calcs unreliable and feature set limited. No atlas.

### 2/5 — Nice App, Still a long way to go.

*2012-11-01*

Really nice colourful chart attracted me and UI is very friendly. Though as of now we need to enter Long./Lat. manualy or be online to pick it on map but in a email reply devoloper informed that he is working on offline database of cities with time zones as well as on ashtakawarga and shadbala.

Looking forword to future updates, keep it up :-)

(V1.3)Having a circle for retro planets is a nice idea other then conventional method of having a R or brackets.

### 3/5 — Beautiful yet deeply lacking basic functionality

*2024-02-20*

Perhaps these are hidden in the app but I haven’t found them? - Why is there no way to render a ‘here and now’ chart? - When one chooses a place on the map, why is the concurrent timezone not suggested or loaded automatically? - Is there a way to see the current time and place concurrently a birth chart? Thanks

—-
The owner gives an answer which remains part of the problem!!!

So it’s technically possible to make a Here And Now entry into your birthchart database but why? This is overly complicated!!!

Why not allow the app to pull your current time and place automatically? Why force the user to make a new entry into their database of birthcharts? Birthcharts are good to keep around in a database, here and now sessions are mostly just useful in the moment.

The app designer’s answers are cumbersome and inelegant answers!

**Developer response:** You can create multiple (for different locations) “here and now” charts by tapping Current Time switch when you create an event.

Apple Maps don’t provide information about time zones unfortunately.

It’s not possible to display two events simultaneously in the current version. It may become available in the future versions for iPad.

### 3/5 — Clear and easy to use but lacks depth

*2013-07-27*

For this price this application should have listed more info about charts: aspects, core yogas etc. but overall good and simple basic program.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very simple app, but best UI amongst jyotish apps

*2023-01-04*

Great work! This is the only jyotish app that doesn’t make me want to pull my hair out while using it.

With that said it’s quite basic when it comes to features.

### 5/5 — Rocks…

*2021-10-21, version 3.7*

I love it!

Very intuitive …

Just what I required…

Just a great piece o’ kit…

🙏🏻

### 5/5 — Best simple app on Vedic astrology

*2020-03-25*

This is one of the best simple astrology app for beginners and with attractive graphics & colours . I request developer to please add Astakvarg , Shadbal , Transit , Jaimini Dasha and Ephimeris in app. Then it will become one of the best Jyotish app in market

### 5/5 — Excatly what was needed

*2014-02-27*

I was looking for a program that gave instant Chart of the Moment, and this program delivered that and more. Just set default location, and each time you open, the chart of the moment appears! Awesome. The presentation is attractive and easy on the eyes. Also has extras like the D9 chart, Nakshatras, Planetary Degrees, etc. A++

### 5/5 — Excellent software

*2014-01-07*

Nice work dude.Keep it up.

### 5/5 — Remarkable, quite accurate

*2012-02-09*

I own two very expensive Vedic astrology software programs. It is simply amazing that this programmer for $5 and a small app do this.

Of course you need expensive software as a professional astrologer, I have at least $600 worth of programs.

My chart was correct, the planets, houses, rising sign, dasha were all accurate.

If your worried about a degree than don't invest $5

To be able to calculate a chart on a iPod is incredible.

I highly recommend this app.

### 4/5 — Know your charts

*2015-01-14*

If you don't already know your chart, you could be misled by the charts here. Mostly they are good, but, for example, D2 chart is not a traditional Hora Chart. I will check the other Vargas charts for accuracy and report any errors.

### 4/5 — Nice Application

*2014-07-18*

It is a very nice application for Horoscope generation.

### 4/5 — Good app

*2014-07-17*

Quite easy to use and handy. Thank you! I've had this app about a year now and the updates have been good... Please keep it coming - it's an awesome app!

### 4/5 — Very Good but needs little work

*2014-04-19*

Calculations seem reasonably accurate so great start! And the latest version finally brings support for iPhone 5 4" screen as well as adds three levels of dashas. Thank you!

Still needed:
=========
- Should be able to support entry of birthplace using name / search instead of having to use map - that's just not very easy to do
- Need support for other ayanamshas
