You can bid on a wide selection of rare wines, fine spirits, and other hard-to-find bottles. The auction catalog is curated by specialists with extensive experience in wine and spirits.
You can set a maximum bid, and the app will bid on your behalf up to that limit. Alternatively, you can bid live as the auction progresses. Bidding on a lot may extend if a bid is placed in the final moments.
Yes, each lot includes detailed condition notes, if applicable, bottle count and size, and any known information about the bottle. This includes details like scuffed labels or damaged capsules.
Bidding is open to buyers 21 and over. The app will show what is available for your address due to state-specific restrictions on wine and spirits shipments.
A buyer's premium of 10% is added to winning wine bids and 15% to winning spirits bids. Your card will be charged when the auction closes and you are the highest bidder.
You can turn on notifications to be alerted the moment someone bids above you or when a lot you are following is about to close. The Activity tab also keeps all your open lots in one place.
Currently, K&L Auctions is supported on iPhone devices. The app is rated for users aged 17 and over.
The app was last updated on September 28, 2026, with version 1.1.0. While specific update frequency for the catalog isn't detailed, the app is designed to bring the current auction catalogue to your phone.
