## What is K7D?

K7D is a powerful and affordable, vintage tape delay effect plugin for iOS. K7D recreates the hardware echo machines of the past using Imaginando’s signature style of obsessive analog emulation, but with an enhanced level of control from a sleek, modern interface. Using this approach allows a whole new world of creative possibilities, while still retaining a warm, full-bodied analog sound, bursting with character and personality.

To give K7D it’s distinctive analog flavour, we studied and analysed the tiny details of what makes classic hardware delays great, and painstakingly recreated every subtle nuance for a fantastically authentic sound.

Available as a standalone app and audio unit plugin, you can use it digital audio stations for iOS such as Garage Band, AUM, Cubasis, Auria, Audiobus, etc.

What a stellar and musical delay. I put this up there with Kosmonaut on iPad. What a generous set of presets. It’s also so easy to use and create your own presets. This feels more creative than Valhalla DSP’s delay. Just incredible, truly is chefs kiss👌🏽

### 5/5 — One of my FAVORITE Tape Delays hands down!

I happen to see this on AppRaven (I have had this app for years) and it’s one of the BEST out there! Don’t get me wrong there are other AMAZING DEEP and VERY good sounding “Tape Delays” but this has the LOOK and FEEL one needs who grew up using 24 tape tricks to get Delays, Flange, Phase etc before all the rack mount gear and pedals and now PLUGINS! 

I always ask myself, if I had ALL THIS technology back when I was first learning the trade off engineering, how freaking far advanced would I be? Bc let’s face it, bf plugins, effects were big $$$ and no young musician has money! I see all the FREE lessons, all the free guitar scale and chord programs and apps… and I think MY GOD how good would I be? 
Then I realize, it would be the same as now, bc YES there is so many ways to learn for free… there is also so many KILLER games to play, killer things to check out, so many amazing content videos… that I being ADHD would not have as much knowledge as I have doing it “old school”

### 1/5 — Extreme lag and often audio delay issues and glitches

Nearly a year ago, I wrote a review for this app and I at least tried to be fair with the devs. It seems that doesn't work in this world, because I tried to get help with this app crashing and nothing works. I use an iPhone 12 mini, and every time I go over 10-15 instruments with the effect, the project completely crashes and either doesn’t open, I have to back it up to EVEN edit the tracks constantly, or it LITERALLY deletes hours to even days of progress depending on the crash. I tried to reach out through email. Got 1 response and was ditched. This was in December of 2024. It's 10 months later, and it’s even worse than it was nearly a year ago. For a paid app, it gets little to no updates and it's really starting to show considering I can’t even use it properly 50% of the time anymore. Either this app was just made for higher-end devices like MacBooks, or it is so outdated that only newer iPhone models can even keep up with this nonsense. Mind you, I tried reaching out through email to get help and got nothing. This is simply ridiculous. The number of times this plugin has erased hours of my progress is almost insane, and just so you know, it really is a good plugin, and I’d love to keep using it, but the amount of whatever space is used that causes all these crashes to happen needs to be fixed.

I used to use delay in a very straightforward manner. Then I bought this app and it had various features that I hadn’t even thought about using. I tried them one by one and realised what I was missing out on. 
It’s not complex at all, but it brings new options and possibilities and we all love bringing new sounds to our music. Inexpensive and high quality.

This and the other app (delay modulater) both not randomising since update—the random feature was the main reason as to why they “WERE” two of my go to apps—without they’re pretty useless to me until fixed…

Alright, let me get this straight, this app is awesome. It makes my music sound 100x better than if it had the plugin off, but the amount of resources this takes on my phone is unholy. Constant lag and crashes keep happening. Im not sure if its my device (iphone 12) or that this app just uses too much power.

I totally forgot I had this amazing delay app! Then while asking around the AudioBus forum, I was referred to try this app. I actually had it already 😆 

Well, if you ever dreamed of having a Strymon Timeline delay pedal but can’t afford $400 plus cash for the Tape Delay, well, this app is totally a dream come true!

When you buy it, which is a no brainer, try the preset called Filtered Tripplets… you will see and hear what I mean. Total mesmerizing delay that can go on forever! Sort of like the Blackhole reverb of delays! Seriously 😳 this app is a total blessing to me. I am going to be playing my electric guitar thru this Delay on my pedalboard with ToneX in my iPhone! It just gives me those luscious buttery delays for Church Worship! 

I dialed back the feedback and changed the preset to Dotted 8ths and created 2 amazing user presets immediately from that filtered preset.

I can recommend this delay enough! Truly is a gem waiting to be discovered! And best part, it’s backed by non other than one of the best developers on IOS! 

Buy it now, seriously, you will be smiling when you play your electric guitar 🎸 through thisamazing tape delay!
