Thank you! ### 3/5 — Unable to update phone number *2025-02-22* The new version looks amazing but it doesn’t let me use me phone number. I tried to update but it says phone number already in use. I can see in my old post my actual number I linked. So I’m unsure why a wrong phone number is linked to this new UI. Also it’s doesn’t let me edit. No option to get support. I’ve installed the latest version of the app but seems it’s not working but keep looping and crashing. Developer should have look into those issue. Kaam Kotha was great because it was simple, but now it’s like they’re deliberately messing it up. If something works well, why would you scrap it and build a whole new version from scratch? Makes zero sense. A good app isn’t about cramming in a bunch of useless features. This isn’t social media—people come here occasionally to find a room or a renter, that’s it. It was simple, it did the job, and now everyone hates it. And seriously, why force both email and phone verification? Does a basic marketplace app really need that much security? It’s overkill. There are so many unnecessary hurdles now that even as someone who’s pretty good with tech, I just gave up and uninstalled it. If signing up takes this much effort, I can’t imagine how bad the rest of the app is. **Developer response:** Email verification is not forced but we disabled phone-only authentication because of a security concerns. Every platform evolves to have more features and we are aiming for KaamKotha to be the platform for Nepalese living in australia. Having said that, we are fixing phone authentication issues for several of our users right now. It's gonna be an ongoing process for a while! We want to keep the basic functionalities as simple as possible and would love to understand your suggestions!
