So far this app appears to be completely fraudulent. On 12/04 I sent a deposit to the Kachinga card from my external bank. The withdrawal from my external bank to Kachinga successfully debited on 12/04. As of today that deposit has gone missing, never has credited to my Kachinga account and when I call the support number I speak to someone in another country who tells me that no deposit was ever made. When you click to email support through the app an email opens with a subject line but with no email address to send the ticket to. So far this appears to be a total scam. Update as of 12/29 Kachinga support responded to my email about the missing deposit. In their email they blamed my bank for the delay in crediting the account claiming my bank flagged my account incorrectly. This claim by Kachinga was false. Kachinga said they fixed the error and sure enough when I login to the app it now shows the correct available balance. My son attempted to use the card today for the first time and it was declined. I called the number on the back of the card and was told the account balance was $0. Your funds are not safe with this company. Do not under any circumstances trust this app with your funds. You’ve been warned. **Developer response:** We’re sorry to hear about your ongoing frustration. We want to assure you that we take these concerns very seriously. We also understand how important it is to have clarity and confidence in your account. When funds are transferred via the app, they need to be moved from the wallet to the prepaid card for child accounts to be available for transactions. This ensures security and proper allocation of funds for card use. For clarity You can do this easily in the app under the wallet section. I thought the update would help but it didn’t. It just says “Maintenance is ongoing. Please come after some time.” It’s been a couple of weeks. Disappointed. ### 3/5 — free version clunky *2024-09-27, version 1.1.9* maybe the pay version of this is great. i don’t know, and won’t be finding out. the free version allows you to setup different chords to track, but if you miss any dates, it’s very difficult (if even possible at all) to go back and change things. The kids are getting older and I’m going to set up checking accounts for them. Plus the app is clunky and I’ve had a lot of issues. Unfortunately, I’m trying to move the money from their accounts and my wallet into my bank, but it wont let me. Support said the kids just have to spend their money. I can’t even move the money from my wallet into my bank account because it says I have pending transfers, which I can’t pay. And even if I did, they’d have to spend it rather than transfer it out.
