## What is Kaedo?

Kaedo is where the whole crew plans the trip together.

Birthday weekend, friend trip, bachelor party, lake trip, Fantasy drafts — someone always ends up herding everyone. Kaedo is their tool, and it makes the whole group better at showing up.

PICK A DATE PEOPLE CAN ACTUALLY MAKE
Offer a few dates (or whole weekends) and let everyone paint their availability — works, maybe, can't, or "part of it." Lock the winner and RSVPs open automatically.

KNOW WHO'S IN
RSVPs that stay honest, a roster that shows who's arriving late or leaving early, and gentle reminders for the crew members who never answer the group text. You pick the tone — polite, passive-aggressive, or feral.

SPLIT COSTS WITHOUT BEING WEIRD ABOUT IT
Add what things cost and Kaedo does the math to the penny. Snap a receipt and it reads the line items so everyone can tap what they had. When it's time to settle up, Kaedo opens Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal with the details filled in — money moves in the apps you already use, never through Kaedo.

ONE PLACE FOR THE TRIP
The plan (with real places, directions, and the weather for your dates), the packing list, group gear claiming, polls for the decisions that need deciding, an inspiration board so everyone shows up dressed right, and a shared photo album so the good shots don't die in the group chat.

FIND THE GOOD STUFF
Browse the trip's city — restaurants, nightlife, parks, and live events with real ratings and showtimes — and drop anything into the plan with one tap.

A GROUP CHAT THAT PULLS ITS WEIGHT
Reactions, replies, photos — and the trip narrates itself into the conversation as costs land and plans firm up.

THEN IT'S A WRAP
After the trip, Kaedo wraps it: the crew, the damage, the photos.

Invite anyone with a link — friends without the app can RSVP, vote on dates, and claim their receipt items right from the browser.

Organizing the crew is a thankless job. Kaedo at least makes it an easy one.

### 5/5 — Finally an App that makes group trip planning easy

*2026-09-05*

This app does it all. Group trips can be such a pain leading up to the actual trip because of the chaos of planning over text messages. This app makes group trips fun and organized. It’s easy to find everything you need within the app instead of scrolling endlessly through messages to find what you’re looking for. I will be using this for every trip moving forward!!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.0 — 2026-09-15

Scout does things now. Ask for a poll, a to-do, a packing list, a moved stop or a nudge, see the preview, tap Do it. It's done.

- Getting there: say how you're getting there and who's riding, and it's on the plan for everyone, arrivals and the way home.
- Since you checked: what happened while you were away, in a few lines, once.
- Guests without the app can vote and tick off to-dos from the invite link. The organizer says who's in.
- A new trip page: what needs you, then how ready the trip is ("Almost ready"), then the plan. Scout waits at the bottom with what he noticed.
- Home got the same treatment: your next trip, what needs you across every trip, what's coming up.
- Explore knows your crew: ideas that fit the people going, not just the city.
- Before a stop: a heads-up to the crew, one tap to say you're on your way.
- Check-in and check-out times can be added any time, and land on the plan. Date polls take whole ranges. Your calendar is a hint now, never a verdict.
- After the trip: a recap, the album, and "Do it again" with the dates already moved a year.
- The trip in your pocket with no signal: the plan, the stay, the costs, cached.
- Receipts and chat photos are private to the trip now. Sign-in comes back to the app on a real link.
- Fixes: the plan's map no longer blinks between drive and walk, notifications show each thing once, toasts sit where they should, and a place you named as the stay is the trip's spot.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-09-09

Open a trip and the one thing that needs you is at the top: your RSVP, what you owe, a receipt to claim, who to nudge. Do it and it's gone.

- A "+" on every trip: add a stop, a stay, a to-do, a poll, a cost or a photo from one sheet.
- Due dates on to-dos, and a "decide by" on the dates, the spot, the stay or the plan. One push the morning before.
- Ask Scout on Home: across every trip, or how anything works.
- During the trip the plan opens on today with the next stop lit and directions one tap away. After, a recap and the album.
- Tap any name for their card: the trips you've shared, and the admin switch on your own trips.
- Frame your photos: avatars, crew photos and trip covers get a crop step, so the picture is the part you chose.
- Stays without a link: a friend's house, family, a campsite. Add it by name and say "We're staying here".
- Send feedback from Profile. A bug, an idea, anything. No email client.
- A simpler sign-in, a new welcome, and a Home that helps before your first trip.
- A hundred small fixes: every save says so when it fails, deletes confirm, crews can be deleted, and the invite page knows when a trip is over.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-09-07

New in 1.3

Stays. Paste an Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking or hotel link and it becomes a card with the per-person price; thumbs-up, the organizer picks, and "I booked it" puts the cost on Costs and check-in on The Plan.

Invite friends from the app. Pick friends on Kaedo and they're on the trip with a push, no link needed. Your own Friend link on Profile adds a friend with no trip in between.

Go with one city. Explore no longer makes you vote: pick a city and go.

Ask Scout knows the app. "How do I make someone an admin?" gets directions, not a shrug.

Notifications actually arrive. Registration was silently failing on iPhone; fixed, and the app now asks once on Home.

Dark-mode fixes, tidier confirms, collapsible checklists, a one-line "Right now", and the plan's drive/walk toggle where it belongs.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-05

Kaedo 1.2 is the biggest update yet.

Explore. A new tab to answer "where should we go?" Browse cities, ask Scout for ideas in plain English, shortlist a few, and let the crew vote.
Start a trip with just a name. Dates and the spot can come later. New here? You'll land on a trip in under a minute.
The Plan on a map. Every day's stops as numbered pins with drive times, and one tap opens the whole day in Maps.
Who's free. Connect your phone's calendar or just mark days, and Scout suggests dates the crew can actually make.
Money that adds up. One clear balance per person, Request and Pay, mark paid with how it was paid, and Simplify to settle a whole trip in the fewest payments.
Nudges that know when to stop. Lock the plan and everyone gets a deadline. Reminders go quiet the moment someone answers. Nudge a friend from Who's In.
Notifications you control. Quiet hours, People / Plans / Money switches, and an activity feed behind the bell.
Sign in with email.
A fresh Home, a redesigned trip screen, and Scout's real face everywhere.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-03

This one's big — everything below landed since the version you have.

FIXED FIRST
Scanning a receipt could close the app. It can't anymore. That one's on us.

KAEDO KNOWS IT WAS YOU
Said you were in on the web, before you had the app? Open Kaedo and your RSVP, your share of the costs, and your name on the crew list are already waiting for you.

THE WHOLE APP GOT REDRAWN
Warmer paper, louder headlines, far less chrome. The rundown breaks its grid, Costs leads with the number that actually matters, Who's In leads with people instead of controls, and the plan draws itself as a route you're travelling — stops behind you in orange, a dot pulsing on the one that's next.

A PROPER WELCOME
New onboarding, 24 fox portraits to pick from, and fox scenes waiting on every empty screen.

PICK YOUR ICON
Classic, Midnight, or Cream — plus a tinted version for the dark and tinted home screens.

THE NEXT TRIP, IN YOUR POCKET
A home-screen widget with the countdown. On the day itself, the trip opens on today's agenda.

THE TRIP TELLS YOU WHAT CHANGED
A live pulse on the rundown, a strip of what your crews are up to, and tiles that say who touched them last. Scout turns up when rain finds the forecast, when the packing list finishes, and when everyone's finally square.

MONEY, CLOSER TO DONE
Attach a receipt photo as proof on anything you add by hand. Split multi-unit gear across the crew. Settle-up notes now say which trip they're for. Export the books as a spreadsheet and the plan as text.

PACKING AND PLANS
Checklist to-dos you can claim, assign, or leave for the group. Stops open in place with directions and a link to the real place. Drag to reorder the day.

ANSWER WITHOUT OPENING ANYTHING
RSVP straight from the notification. Chat notifications now come from the person who sent them, with their face on it.

AND THEN THE NEXT ONE
When a trip wraps, "Plan another" starts the next one with the same crew already loaded.
