Also, turn based playing is required with 2 of same device. With a button you can toggle: show cards or not ### 2/5 — Nice as single player *2024-05-12, version 1.4* This really needs a pass and play mode, sadly it seems to have been abandoned ### 3/5 — Single Player Mode Very Short *2023-05-02, version 1.4* There is 12 levels in a campaign style order. I managed to get through all of them within a couple days and that’s it. It’s a fun game but due to the very limited levels it makes it a bit repetitive. Too bad, there’s lots of potential here. I find myself drawn to playing it and feeling incredibly smart when I win. The game is well-designed, engaging, and plays fast. The app runs smoothly. I only wish you could undo your turns. If you think that would bother you, I’d recommend you play this on Yucata.de instead. ### 4/5 — Great game, simple to learn *2019-10-28, version 1.4* Elegant in it’s scoring mechanism, deep strategy. Fun to play but I’ve never gotten to play a real human. For most, the AI is hard to beat, but over time you will overcome all of them. Dropping a star as 2 player is broken. I suggest adding a Ladder, seed the Ladder order with the present Elo rated players. Challenge anyone within 200 places of you and if you win, you move up 1/2 the distance between you two. If your opponent does not answer the challenge with 3 days, you move up the ladder 1/2 distance, and your opponent moves down 1 place, the same if you win by playing out a game for the Ladder. If the higher player wins, he/she moves up 1 place and the lower ranked player moves down 1 place. Also, Your rating also changes with a Ladder challenge according to Elo difference as it does presently. ### 4/5 — Very enjoyable *2019-10-27, version 1.4* Well implemented. As a relatively short but meaty game, Kahuna hits the mark. Rules are simple and AI taxing enough for several hour campaign. Very frustrating. ### 5/5 — PERFECT PORT OF A GREAT GAME! *2019-04-10, version 1.4* Perfect blend of luck and strategy in a 2-player game. In fact, it’s my current favorite real-world board game now when traveling with my wife. This digital version is an exact port of the game, and makes for fun while on the run! ### 3/5 — One Player is good, two player flawed *2018-11-26, version 1.4* Simple but fun boardgame implemented for mobile play. The one player game works fine and is great to learn the game. Unfortunately the two player game doesn’t work as well. Most games I start never seem to get past the first turn. Then games that do start have strange bugs where cards you play on your turn, then turn out not to have been played when your opponent has taken his turn. For such a simple game I would have expected reliable two player games and maybe some kind of league or scoring system to track results. Do not buy it!! ### 1/5 — Spiel Schummelt *2021-04-13* Leider habt Ihr seit dem letzten Update dem Computerspieler das Schummeln beigebracht. Wenn der Computer eine verdeckte Karte zieht, kann ich mit 99%iger Sicherheit voraussagen, welche Karte es ist (diese spielt er dann natürlich im nächsten Zug). So wird der Computerspieler zwar auf der besten Stufe tatsächlich stärker, das Spielen macht aber wesentlich weniger Spaß, weil man einfach keinen Bock hat, gegen jemanden zu spielen, der sich nicht an die Regeln hält. Leute, ein starker Computerspieler macht sicherlich ein Spiel attraktiv, aber ein schummelnder Computer ist ein absolutes No-Go! Lest mal die Kommentare in anderen Spiele-Apps, wenn rauskommt, dass der Computerspieler schummelt. Dann doch lieber einen schwächeren Computer. Und bitte nicht rausreden: Ich halte Statistikvorlesungen und kenne mich sehr gut mit Wahrscheinlichkeiten aus ;-) ### 1/5 — Mode multijoueur KO *2020-12-27* Le jeu est très bien, mais il ne fonctionne plus en mode multijoueur alors que c’était son principal attrait. Il fonctionnait dans les versions IOS plus anciennes mais n’a jamais été mis à jour. Buy only if you intend to play against another human ### 1/5 — Inviting friends did NOT work, two purchases for nothing *2018-08-05, version 1.3* My boyfriend and I wanted to play a bit of Kahuna on the go. So first, we both had to download and pay for the app, only to find that the feature ‘invite a friend’ is not working. We both are registered with the Apple Game Center, we both are on iMessage. But when “loading” the invitation, all it does is opening the Kahuna app. The new game is only shown for the player who started the game and invited the other. We tried several times in all kinds of ways, it never worked. The starting player could start the game and make a first move and then that’s it. The other one never gets shown the shared game. :( Absolute fail. :( No, our invitations always want out right away. And we always did finish a first turn, but the game still didn’t appear in the app of the other player. :( ### 1/5 — Dutch or German *2018-02-01, version 1.2* OK, I downloaded this game today, sitting in the middle of the gd USA and it is in some foreign language. Dutch or German is my best guess. I can see no way to switch it to English. When I tap to open it in the App Store, it again opens in Dutch or German.
