## What is Kai?

Kai is a private AI assistant. Kai does RAG on your Mac. Kai also gives you AI answers when you are away from your desk.

There is no sign-up. Your account is an anonymous key. Your phone makes the key. Open the app and ask a question. Type the question, or speak it in a natural conversation. Your chats stay only on your device. Kai deletes them after 7 days. Our servers keep no logs. Your RAG data stays on the Mac at your home.

PRIVACY
• Kai never stores your questions, photos, documents, or voice audio.
• Your phone removes private data from a document before it sends the document. Names, ID numbers, and account details become anonymous placeholders.
• Back up your key to iCloud. Your balance is safe if you lose your phone. One tap clears all your data at any time.

A REAL CONVERSATION
• Talk without your hands. Kai listens, answers out loud, and stops when you speak.
• Use interpreter mode. Select two languages. Kai translates both directions while you talk.
• Kai understands and answers in all major languages. You can select from five voices.

USEFUL EVERY DAY
• Kai finds current answers from the web. Kai also uses the linked folders on your Mac (RAG).
• Attach photos and documents in one question. Kai understands PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more.
• Kai makes and changes images.
• Share a web page to Kai. Kai reads the page aloud.
• Ask Kai from Siri, Shortcuts, or the Action button.
• Export any answer. Send it to your Mac with AirDrop, or save it to a file.

HONEST PRICING
• You receive $5 of welcome credit.
• There is no subscription. You buy prepaid credit only when you want to.
• Kai shows the exact cost of each answer. An answer usually costs about one cent.
• Hard questions use our most capable models.
