### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-24

You can now create your own accounting categories. This update also adds withholding tax and family employee salary.

- Create and edit your own accounting categories (Settings > Accounting subject): name, description, icon, colour, and the standard category it rolls up to on the tax form
- Expense categories can be printed on their own blank line of the P&L instead of folding into the standard one (up to 5)
- Record withholding tax on sales entries. A suggested amount is calculated for you, and the tax return screen shows the yearly total broken down by trade partner
- Family employee salary is now a separate line from wages, with a breakdown on page 2 of the tax form. White returns use the family employee deduction instead
- Added categories for income deductions: national health insurance, national pension, mutual aid contributions, life and earthquake insurance, donations, and medical expenses. These are treated as owner drawings rather than expenses, so they are left out of both the tax form and your reports
- Letterforms now switch between Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese to match your display language
- Fixed: custom categories falling into miscellaneous expenses on the tax form, the blue return special deduction exceeding the amount actually usable, and sales revenue in the e-Tax XML leaving out miscellaneous income and personal consumption

- Fixed synced entries showing a date one day earlier in exports, reports, and recurring transaction schedules
- Fixed entries on the last day of a period (month end, fiscal year end) being left out of totals
- Recurring entries set to a day that doesn't exist in a given month (e.g. the 31st) now fall back to the last day of that month
- Rebuilt data migration at sign-in: tags and fiscal years are now carried over too, with progress shown. If it doesn't finish, you can retry from Settings
- Fixed Google sign-in incorrectly reporting "cancelled" and blocking you from continuing
- Fixed balances and the ledger not refreshing after switching accounts
