## What is Kairo?

Kairo is a weekly journal you keep only with your close friends.

Every week, Kairo gives you one small prompt. Talk to a stranger. Get lost on purpose. Take the long way. Start before sunrise. Each one asks for a little courage: go somewhere you wouldn't have gone, say yes when you'd usually pass. You answer it in postcards, a photo from your real week with a few words on the back.

Then nothing happens. Nothing your friends make is visible until Thursday, when everyone's week is revealed at once. One quiet moment where you see how the same prompt lived differently for each of you.

By default there is no audience. Your Kairos go to the handful of people who already matter to you and nobody else. If you ever want more than that, you can turn on World and see how strangers answered the same prompt. It stays off unless you choose it.

Kairo is small on purpose:
• One prompt a week, written by hand. Never AI, never generic.
• Up to three postcards a week. A finite, deliberate set, not an endless stream.
• Camera-only capture. The moments you actually lived, not your camera roll.
• A Thursday reveal that turns an ordinary week into something you kept.

Make the day count.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-09-01

• Long-press the app icon to go straight to the camera.
• Invite links open Kairo directly, and you can copy one to paste anywhere.

You can now like a week you love, and the camera has a flash.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-11

The camera got a full rebuild — it should feel snappier and more like the one built into your phone:

- Tap anywhere to focus
- Smooth, continuous zoom (including a real 0.5x on supported phones)
- A cleaner front camera with more control over your framing

Plus small fixes: friend activity now shows the right time, and you can add a short bio to your profile.
