## What is Kaixo?

Kaixo is a free app to learn Basque (euskera) from scratch up to EGA level, following the European CEFR curriculum.

No accounts. No ads. No tracking. No purchases.

• Optional progress sync: from the Progress screen you can turn on a backup in your own iCloud account, so you do not lose your progress when reinstalling or switching devices. It is off by default; you turn it on and can turn it off at any time (turning it off deletes the copy). Your data stays yours: we cannot see it.
• Local backup of your progress, so it survives when the system frees up storage.
• You can now rate the app from the Progress screen.
• Internal improvements and fixes.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-07-31

New: the Pronunciation Gym (beta) now works inside the app - microphone permission added. Listen to the native phrase, record yourself and see which words were understood; everything is processed on your device and nothing leaves it.
