## What is Kaldarshi?

Kaldarshi is a Marathi panchang and festival calendar that works without internet.

Open it and see today at a glance: the tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana, with sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset for your place. Tap into the detailed Panchang for any day.

What you get
• Today: the day's panchang and the next festival coming up
• Calendar: a month view with festivals, vrats and tithi on every day
• No new version each year: last year, this year and next year are always in the app. In December, the next year is already there
• Festivals and vrats: the full list for the year, with a short explanation of each
• Panchang for any day, not just today
• Search for a festival or vrat by name
• Reminders for festivals, vrats and special days: the morning of, the evening before, or at moonrise for Sankashti
• Turn on a whole category at once, such as every Ekadashi or every Sankashti
• Plan next month with a checklist of its festivals and vrats
• Share a day, festival or vrat as an image card on WhatsApp or any app, or send a festival greeting
• Tell us about a problem or an idea from More, Give feedback
• Marathi, Hindi and English, and you can switch at any time
• A roomier layout on tablets and iPad
• Sunrise and sunset worked out for your own city, or any place you choose from the list

Private by design
• No account, no sign-up
• No ads. Anonymous usage counts, which you can switch off in the app. Feedback is sent only when you press Send
• Your location, if you allow it, is used once on your phone to find your place and is never sent anywhere
• The calendar is saved on your device, so it works offline
• Reminders are set on your phone and arrive without internet

Kaldarshi is made by one person who reads the panchang every day. If a date looks wrong, write to w3radar.apps@gmail.com and it will be looked at.

• Swipe left or right to go to the next or previous day
• Ten more festivals tell why they matter, from Gudi Padwa and Holi to Datta Jayanti

### 1.6.0 — 2026-10-21

• Every festival has its own page: dates and times for your place, how to observe it, what you need, the story and common questions
• A Diwali guide, with a page for each of the six days
• A day opens as a page: what is special about it, then the times of the day, each saying what it is good for
• Festivals open from Today, the week list and the day page
• New: a thought for the day on Today, with a card to share
• On iPad, the navigation rail no longer sits under the window controls
• Your saved settings are safer: the app no longer shows the first-run screens again if they cannot be read
• Faster start, and fixes

### 1.5.0 — 2026-10-18

• This week on Today is a list: each day shows its tithi and the festivals and vrats on it
• Festivals and vrats are named in full, such as Sankashti Chaturthi, wherever there is room
• Fixed letters drawn wrongly in the month calendar on iPhone and iPad
• Reminders now start on for new installs, with richer text: moonrise or tithi end time, and what the day is
• Upwas (उपवास) on the Vrat screen and in search
• Version number in More

### 1.4.0 — 2026-10-13

• Give feedback from More: report a problem or share an idea. Nothing is sent until you press Send
• Show or hide public holidays, in More under Calendar
• Rahu Kaal, Abhijit and Bhadra each have their own line in the day timeline
• Clearer message when Location Services are off, with a button to open Settings
• Better layouts for iPad, Mac and the largest text size

### 1.3.0 — 2026-10-07
