We used to be able to upload a photo and work it in a limited number of tools. Now, any photo upload of mine requires the Pro version? I am never, ever going to take a photograph with my iPad. I am never going to use this app with any art other than what is in my camera roll. I should not be forced to give camera access when the only access needed is to my existing art. Also, I have yet to figure out how to get output that is anywhere near the 8000px the app states it is capable of in Settings. ### 5/5 — Updated with Improvements! *2018-02-27, version 2.0* I am so happy this app finally updated! There are new symmetries that you will find nowhere else. This has to be the most advanced kaleidoscope app out there. So incredibly fun! Try taking things you wouldn’t expect-like abstract artwork - and see what happens. My only wish is that you could resize the symmetry area within the source photo. The high res saving option only shows up once you've transferred it to iTunes file sharing. Once you see the high res version you'll realize how fabulous this app is. The way it’s set up, you can’t even read the writing of the buttons you’re trying to find. It makes no sense to pay for the “Pro” version, and still have to pay for each individual filter after that. The high quality is awesome, I love the repeating patterns...I never use the filters but I use everything else and I love it....I have used it to make videos and fabric and a bunch of trippy animations - worth paying for, for sure, and it is a big step up from the kaleidoscope app I had before, thank you ### 5/5 — Awesome Kaleidoscopic Art *2019-08-25, version 2.0* I’d been searching for a new kaleidoscope app for almost two years after the one I had been happily using ceased to be updated by the developer and wouldn’t work with the latest version of iOS. Finally after trying lots of apps that didn’t do the things I wanted along came Kaleidomatic. Free to download but with limited functionality, there’s still a lot of fun to be had. But for a couple of quid you get all the functions activated and your options are doubled. I can’t recommend this enough for anyone interested in kaleidoscopes for fun or for productivity.
