So, I was hoping that the only rating for this app was wrong, but I was mistaken. Yup, you have to pay to even access the content of the app. I would have liked a free version ( NOTHING to do with the subscription or trial) to see what was on the app. I had high hopes for this one and clearly I was wrong. Very disappointed.

**Developer response:** Hello ~LuckyLaurel~, and thank you for your honest feedback — and apologies for replying so long after you wrote it.

We'd like to clear up the confusion: Kalimba has always had free content — free melodies and free kalimba settings are available without any subscription. When a purchase screen appears, you can simply tap "continue with limited version" to keep using the app for free. We never lock the whole app behind a subscription.

That said, we've heard you. Version 5.0, released just recently, is a complete redesign of the app — a new engine and a new interface — and we've made the free experience clearer and more welcoming, so you can properly explore what's inside before deciding on anything.

Way too laggy to be of any real use, and not many options to make it more creative. Sad to say, I wish I’d kept my cash.
