## What is Kalisme?

The manifesto is free. 13 chapters you can now read, and listen to, in fifteen languages, offline. That is the whole heart of it.

The rest is an app to live a practical philosophy by. No promise of happiness, no noise. You practice your way.

Today's feed: one topic a day, a three-question quiz, and then it ends. No endless scrolling.

Kalisme is now an iPad app. Not a stretched iPhone: every space has been reworked for the larger screen.

The Circle: Kalisme opens up to a few people close to you, without becoming a social network. You invite them one by one, through a link you share yourself. No account, no directory: nobody can find you. What you send is encrypted end to end on your iPhone before it leaves, the relay sits in the European Union, holds no key, and erases after seven days. Three people are included.

The Manifesto, read or heard in fifteen languages, with reading notes and chapter navigation. A reflowable reader, a mini player, the full PDF to share.

The 13 permissions. The Manifesto reaches its fourth edition: each chapter now carries the permission it opens, no longer the principle it states.

Orbit Home: your spaces become a constellation, Kal at the center, your stars around it. You pick which to show, their order, the central one. Shake to switch back to the classic layout, or change the mood.

Four moods carry across the app, the Apple Watch and the widgets: Solar (it follows the hour), Brown and gold, Mist, Ink.

Gesture of the day, one quiet invitation that follows the light: an affirmation in the morning, a short pause in the day, three smiles in the evening. No GPS.

Kal, the companion: three messages a day, free for everyone in the app. An "App" tab answers your questions about Kalisme, on device. On device, Kal can now reach out gently, all on the iPhone, behind your consent and Face ID (iPhone 15 Pro and later).

Books: 13 reworked books, each with its filiations under "Sources and resonances", each one versioned. Audio comes with the book you own.

Mirrors to weigh a thought. The decision compass: name a choice, weigh it on four axes, watch the needle settle where you lean.

Breathing: three modes (coherence 4-4, deep calm 4-7-8, recentering 4-6), from 60 s to 10 min, each session logged in Apple Health.

Music by Kal Records, with cross fades. The Bridge, an orientation toward real help. Notebook, Rituel, the Kaliste Path. Share a card, or the whole Manifesto.

Apple Watch: complications on the face, Orbit Home on the wrist, Kal by dictation, volume from the watch.

CarPlay: three hands-free spaces on your car screen, Kal Records, the audiobooks, and Breathing read aloud.

Fifteen languages: all of Kalisme in FR, EN, DE, IT, TR, RU, PT, ES, HI, ZH, AR, KO, JA, BN, ID. The app follows your iPhone.

Free, without limit: the Manifesto, the Notebook with its iCloud backup, the extended Apple Watch, Rituel, Breathing, Music, Mirrors, the Kaliste Path.

Prices:
Support, $2.99 per month, a free gift to the maker.
Kal, $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year. A pack of 120 messages, $5.99.
Books, $7.99 each. The pack of 13, $69.99.
Kaliste, $14.90 per month or $149.99 per year (around $12.50 per month): Support, Kal without limit, the 13 books, first month free.

Your exact price by region appears in the app. Euro amounts are indicative.

TODAY'S QUIZ, RIGHT IN THE FEED

Each day, the feed asks you three questions about today's permission, drawn from the thirteen Kalisme books. You answer right in the card, without leaving the feed. A hundred and thirty-eight questions, in all fifteen languages of the app.

ONE SUBJECT A DAY

Each day, the feed has its own subject: one of the thirteen permissions, one of the hundred and nineteen chapters of the books, or a section of the Manifesto. It takes a hundred and seventy-four days for the same subject to come around again.

TWENTY-SEVEN LINES ON THE LOCK SCREEN

The Lock Screen widget goes from twelve lines to twenty-seven.

YOUR NOTEBOOK AS A PDF, WITH NOTHING LOST

A day that runs too long now carries on to the next page instead of losing its notes, and the PDF always comes out on light paper, even when the app is in dark mode. If your Notebook is locked with Face ID, so is its export.

THE CIRCLE

When you leave a bond, the relay server erases its trace after thirty days; a block, on the other hand, stays permanent. On an invitation, “Copy” at last copies the link along with your note, and tapping the notification for a thought opens The Circle.

AND ALSO

Breathing, the Manifesto and the halos now respect Reduce Motion. Turning on a reminder in Settings finally asks for iOS authorization. The Silent setting also mutes the sound of thoughts from The Circle. Deleting your account also removes your reading progress from iCloud.

### 2.2 — 2026-09-20

TODAY'S FEED, ONE SUBJECT A DAY

Today's feed now turns around a single subject each day: one of the thirteen permissions, or one of the main sections of the Manifesto. Everything falls in behind it. The quote comes from its chapter, the passage from its book, the song is its own, and the gesture on offer is your step of the Journey.

Ten cards at most, and that is it for today. Leave partway through and it reopens exactly where you stopped. Once you have been through it, it hands its slot back to Today's gesture and stays within reach at any hour.

KALISME CAN SPEAK TO YOU IN THE FEMININE

In Arabic, every sentence addressed to the reader had to pick a gender, and it picked the masculine. A woman reading was being spoken to as though she were a man.

One setting, in Your Kalisme, and everything follows: the thirteen books, the whole app, down to the closing line of the mantras. It is not a question about who you are, it is a way of speaking to you. It appears only in Arabic, the one language where it truly changes something.

KAL, WHEN YOUR IPHONE IS NOT ENOUGH

Kal Extended works on your iPhone first. When your iPhone is not enough, it now leans on Private Cloud Compute, Apple's private infrastructure, where nothing is kept. The pages of your Notebook, for their part, never leave the device.

One setting cuts off that extra help in a single tap. Another, if you want it, marks every answer with a letter, according to whether it was worked out on your iPhone or elsewhere.

AND ALSO

The watch goes from ten screens to six pages: The Circle is one tap away instead of seven swipes. Two extra large tiles on iPad, the constellation of the permissions and the shelf of your books. In The Circle, blocking someone truly silences the phone, and a “Write to us” section opens a message to the publisher. The thirteen books move to v 2.1, each with a note saying what has changed in your edition.

### 2.1 — 2026-09-08

TODAY'S FEED

Six cards, as long as a coffee, and the feed ends. A quote from the Manifesto, another from one of the 13 books, Today's question, the current step of your Kaliste Journey, a Kal Records song, then the last card: that's all for now.

There is one feed per time of day, morning, daytime and evening. The hour brings the next one, never a button. No endless scrolling, no streak to keep up, and the same feed for everyone.

KALISME ON IPAD

Kalisme is now an iPad app. Not a stretched iPhone: every space has been reworked for the larger screen.

Turn the iPad on its side and the reader opens as a double page, two pages next to each other like an open book in front of you. Stand it back up and the text becomes a single flowing page, and you keep your place.

A book you started on your iPhone carries on where you left it on your iPad, and the other way round.

While reading on its side, a full screen mode clears everything around the text. Elsewhere, columns keep a comfortable reading width instead of stretching from edge to edge.

WHAT'S BEEN FIXED

Your Circle keeps your people when you move to a new iPhone.

Opening Kalisme on a second device no longer overwrites your reading history.

Your Notebook and your Compass are end-to-end encrypted before they go to iCloud. The key never leaves your devices.

Taking out your AirPods now actually pauses playback.

A reminder you set yourself now arrives on time, and the app lets you know when it can't.

### 2.0 — 2026-08-28

THE CIRCLE

Kalisme opens up to a few people close to you, without becoming a social network. You invite them one by one, through a link you share yourself. No account, no directory, no friend suggestions: nobody can find you, and there is nobody to be introduced to.

What you send is encrypted end to end on your iPhone before it leaves. The relay is hosted in the European Union, it holds no key, it carries sealed envelopes and erases them after seven days. The readable content of your thoughts never leaves your device.

Before any invitation, a screen tells you exactly what travels, to whom, and what never travels at all. You can close a link, block someone, or dissolve your Circle entirely, whenever you want.

Three people are included. A subscription raises the ceiling, it unlocks nothing else.

NEW MIRRORS

You, at work. Ten questions on what work does to your presence to yourself: permission put off until later, attention nibbled away, rest that apologises for itself.

Your Circle. A mirror on your bonds, and on the stories we tell ourselves about them.

Kalisme Quiz. More than a hundred questions across six themes, and a question of the day that changes each morning.

TRUER WORDS

Breath is now called Breathing, and Collection is now called Books. The names say what the spaces do.

The Manifesto reaches its fourth edition. The thirteen principles become the thirteen permissions: each chapter carries what you are allowed to do, not what you ought to do.

The audio of the thirteen books stays included the moment you own the book, with nothing to add.

### 1.5 — 2026-07-04

The free heart of Kalisme just grew.

The Manifesto now reads like a real book and is read aloud to you, free, in fifteen languages, offline. Flowing text, chapter by chapter, a mini player, a reading note, the full PDF to share. The part you can keep forever, you can now listen to.

A new home: Orbit
Your spaces become a quiet constellation, Kal at the center, your stars around it. Choose which to show, their order, the central one. Shake to switch back to the classic home, or to change the light. Four moods carry the whole app, your Apple Watch and your widgets: Solar (it follows the hour), Brown and gold, Mist, Ink.

Freer, on purpose
iCloud backup of your Notebook and the extended Apple Watch are now free for everyone. Support becomes what it always wanted to be: a free gift to the maker, nothing locked behind it.

Kal, closer
Three messages a day, offered to everyone in the app. An "App" tab that answers your questions about Kalisme right on your device. A yearly plan for Kal, and a first step toward a quieter presence: Kal can now begin a sentence gently, fully on your iPhone, only with your consent.

The gesture of the day
One daily invitation that follows the light. Morning, an affirmation or an intention. Midday, a pause of sixty seconds. Evening, three smiles to set down and an intention for tomorrow. No location, no noise.

Also
The Compass becomes a decision compass: name a choice, weigh it on four axes, watch where you lean. The Collection, second edition: thirteen reworked books, their sources and echoes, audio included when you own them. A new album in English and an Afro Arabic House one in Music. A larger text size for easier reading. Each widget zone now opens its feature. Search in the FAQ, and many small cares.

Regional prices are shown in the app.
