Very handy reference and practice tool. I basically know how to read hiragana and katakana, but dont use every day. This is a perfect app for me to make sure am reading, spelling correctly- and with the correct stroke order!

I think that the app is a fantastic resource for learning Katakana and Hiragana.

However, I am unable to give it 5 stars because after purchasing the ad removal, I am being bombarded with advertisements and it’s very frustrating to deal with when you are trying to study. 

Hopefully there is an alternative that is just as helpful.

This app has helped me ALOT to learn the Japanese alphabet!!!!At the start the only language I knew how to speak and write was English! Then I realised I wanted to learn another language so I picked Japanese! I found this app on the App Store and decided to try it out and it helped out a lot . If you’re thinking about learning the language Japanese I suggest this app!

Fabulous App for learning to read AND write Japanese Ideograms. 

I have been using this for a week and have found it very effective in learning the Japanese writing system!

I initially downloaded this App b/c of the hiragana chart and was pleasantly surprised when I “tapped” the chart to reveal the hidden gems of this App!  The brush stroke mapping of each character is super helpful. But the real star of this App is the ability to use your finger as a brush to draw each ideogram. 

Hats off the developer for keeping this straightforward and easy to use! <3
