It’s great to have this on my phone to refer to while using other means of Japanese language learning. You get the hiragana for free. Katakana you can add for a couple of dollars. It is well worth it.

This app is clean, simple and fun. However, it’s too bare bones. A really simple addition would be if my results were saved and I could see my improvement or which characters I historically missed in the quizzes. It’s a pretty simple implementation that would make this app amazing. Please consider.

It’s pretty good except at the end of the practice it often says you said a certain character on a question when you actually didn’t and there are usually quite a few mess ups at the end of the quiz when it shows you your marks but other than that it is a good app but I don’t understand how to unlock Katakana.

I'm using the iPad version with iOS 10 on an iPad Pro. Incorrect responses in the quiz are sometimes incorrectly recorded. It's very annoying and limits the value of the app as a learning tool. Shame as otherwise it's good.
p.s. the report a problem leads to a page with a video guide, but no possibility of actually reporting a problem. That's not fair!

Once you have a decent foundation of kana from other apps such as kana mind, this app is great for forcing you to know the right answer from memory not just multiple choice which is easier. I only wish it had a mode to work just on ones your fail or have trouble with and collected stats like accuracy and time spent testing.
