## What is Kana Pro?

This is a school edition of the Kana Pro: Hiragana & Katakana studying application for school managed devices.
If you are an individual user, we recommend installing the regular version instead, because this version has no cross-platform Premium.

Kana Pro helps you learn Japanese hiragana and katakana with quiz stages and writing practice.

What you can do:
• Train reading speed with multiple quiz stages
• Practice writing kana with guided drills
• Hear kana pronunciation
• Track progress by profile and review weak points
• Use a timer to build fast recall

Built for consistent daily learning:
• Automatic mode smartly chooses what to ask next based on your progress, and adds more characters as you improve

### 1.7.5 — 2026-08-16

- Added a "Show the answer" button.
- The Kana Chart's character preview now has previous and next buttons.
- Retries after a wrong answer are now on by default, and the text stage (stage 6) supports them too.
- Fixed wrong answers not being highlighted in red when using a non-default theme.

### 1.7.4 — 2026-07-30

- The word stage (stage 5) doesn't introduce new characters anymore unless it's the only enabled stage
- Added an optional Manual mode setting that keeps each stage going until every selected character has been answered correctly the chosen number of times.
