## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not for me

*2025-10-29, version 1.2.0*

I liked it at first but then it got a bit slow loading. Also, The infinite part isn’t that exciting. I would recommend this to people who really like and want to learn Japanese.

### 1/5 — Boring

*2023-11-19, version 1.1.3*

This app is really boring as it doesn’t make anything fun

### 1/5 — To hard

### 1/5 — terrible

### 1/5 — I have to learn this at school 😭

*2023-02-27, version 1.1.2*

Ahhhh

### 1/5 — Bad makes me work

*2020-02-19, version 1.1.0*

Get rid of the app

### 4/5 — A little repetitive, but good practice!

*2024-03-07, version 1.1.3*

This app has been a ginormous help with my hiragana. The infinity tests are a little repetitive, seeing that there’s no end, so you don’t know when to stop. Repeating the same thing again and again is good practice, and it’s what got me to learn the characters so quickly! Four stars!!! ٩( ᐛ )و

### 4/5 — Very good

*2024-02-23, version 1.1.3*

The game makes me feel like I’m getting smarter

### 4/5 — great for practicing

*2023-03-09, version 1.1.2*

this is good

### 4/5 — needs more font options to fully learn

*2022-06-22, version 1.1.1*

this is great for beginners but the hiragana and katakana in books like genki or other textbooks varies greatly from hand written to brush stroke and the font this app uses is the easiest to read which lead to many headaches when i realized tiny less clear and more practical fonts werent availible on this app. hopefully you can add a settings button with sliders for basic clear sans serif, serif and more complicated brush and hand written fonts and a randomize feature so that we can review on hard mode to test our actual knowledge. also a minor critique but id love if there was a way to review all the hiragana and katakana with all forms not just the base forms.

### 5/5 — Super.

*2026-03-15*

Simpel aber effektiv. Gerne noch eine Kategorie zum Schreiben der Linienführung/Reihenfolge, sonst hat es alles nötige.

### 5/5 — Great basics

*2026-02-13, version 1.2.0*

I really like this app because you can go over lessons as much as you as you like and it has been super helpful for me in learning Japanese letters. Other apps I have looked at seem to think I should already know them and are too advanced for true beginners. This one is just right to start with.

### 5/5 — Amazing

This app is excellent for memorising hiragana and katana.
To improve the app, I recommend the developer/s add some options for dakuten / han-dakuten.
All in all, this app is one of the best I’ve ever used.

### 5/5 — Fantastic way to learn the Kana quickly!

*2024-09-01, version 1.1.3*

Really enjoying this app - the approach of randomising the kana and also whether you need to think first what is the Japanese or the English is so helpful. Finding it is speeding up the retention of information. Thank you for making this great app!

### 5/5 — Very usable!

*2024-08-11, version 1.1.3*

I am finding this very reasonable to use in starting to learn Hirigana characters. The interface is straightforward and clear.
