Gave it a chance to see about the paid option. Worked fine, but quickly began isolating other id’s and info. Not to mention hundreds more spam emails and telemarketing calls began. I thought it would be great - at first it was. The app itself only works half the time as well. Customer service only earned my two stars. ### 1/5 — Only works for Mainland US citizens, and really works best with those born in the country. *2025-04-14, version 1.13* I live on Guam, a US territory. This is important for what I say next. Very unfortunate that I signed up to clean up my digital footprint, and instead not only end up giving my email to yet another company that can do whatever it wants with it, but to also have no option in the UI (and isn’t explicitly mentioned anywhere on their site, store page or app) to select any other country or US territory, meaning I’m essentially locked out of the app, and gave up personal information for nothing. This after reading several pages of text elsewhere saying this is a legitimate thing. Nice. ### 1/5 — Broken *2025-03-08, version 1.11.4* Finds things then says error. Broken! ### 1/5 — SSO doesn’t work *2025-01-22, version 1.9.0* Logging into existing accounts using Google or Apple does not work with this app. Please fix ASAP! ### 1/5 — Not sure Kanary needs an iOS app *2025-01-21, version 1.9.0* While the UI is really sleek, functionality is really lacking. The website does everything it needs to do, I’m not sure there was any reason for an app besides jumping on the AI hype train. You can expand your company offerings without going into mobile, or at least rethink your strategy for mobile. This app is kind of useless. The idea is there but the execution is just not where it needs to be. I’d rather use the website to be honest. Hopefully these other reviews aren’t from the Kanary Discord because that wouldn’t be fair to the average user who is hoping to get more out of this app but won’t due to misleading positive reviews. ### 1/5 — Fake “service” *2024-12-31, version 1.6.0* I signed up with them today and did a scan. After the scan the results showed up with nothing. I go and type my full name on google and i pop up. Same thing with my phone number. Just another money grabber with no proof of getting the service done ### 1/5 — No idea *2024-12-19, version 1.3.0* I pay for premium and I have absolutely no idea what this app is supposed to do. I wanted to just see my results and how it was going. Except all this does is run some automated web bot and having you manually do all the things Kanary SHOULD be doing in the first place. Further, their premium web service has barely removed a thing. Maybe they should focus more on that and not some stupid ai mobile bot. ### 2/5 — Who broke this? *2025-09-09, version 1.17.1* This used to be a great app, easy to use and effective. I tried it tonight, and nothing works. I just get prompted to log into Google over and over. Then it went through this charade of requesting removal. But all it did is submit my email to the websites and then I have to do literally everything else. 2 stars for the beautiful interface I guess, and the fact that it shows you like 5 locations to be aware of?
