I depend on it a lot Please update, thanks! ### 4/5 — Great App, Very useable, Could benefit from a few minor tweaks *2021-01-10* This is a great app and works well across my iOS 14.3 devices. There are just a few minor things that could be added to make it a little faster/easier to use but unfortunately I have been unable to contact the developer. This could be one of the most useful additions to my phone and iPad and the coding ‘feels’ solid and reliable which is notable on an app which hasn’t been updated in two years. Most notable another reviewer mentioned, developer has yet to provide a suggestions/issues channel. So, issues noted so far listed here in review. Funded the in-app premium purchase as a practical support and vote of confidence for a promising new app/developer! Transferring a kanban document from one iPad to another iPad via AirDrop is one of the fun features already in the app (make sure 'Restore' of premium is applied to both iPads). kanbanier - issues • where is the undo? -card level undo change/delete, row/column action • delete row/column needs a confirmation before applying and include a warning all cards will be deleted in row/column delete! • oops! -row delete also deleted Tags • add .pdf output to PDF Expert (Readdle) (prepare .pdf, then 'Open In...' ) • need way to create versions of a kanban board (create new copy of document, or save copy under new name) • support needs to be expanded to include premium users who intentionally do not subscribe to social media ### 4/5 — Love it except *2017-06-11, version 1.1* I can't share via text!!! So my husband has to open in email. I wish there was a way for us to share the app so that we could see each other's progress. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Need to purchase twice? *2022-02-06, version 1.6.1* I bought the premium with my laptop. However, it looks like I need to buy the premium on my apple phone as well? I’d like to use both devices as I’m always on the go. But in order for my apple phone to open the kanban doc, my phone needs the premium version. Am I not logged into the same iCloud account in both devices? The same iCloud account that made $14.99 purchase. What gives??? ### 1/5 — What a shame.. *2019-12-10* Having paid for the premium version of the desktop app it’s really disappointing to note that I cannot even view those boards in the mobile app without paying for another premium upgrade. I’m afraid that’s now put me right off this app now as other similar services only expect a single *account* upgrade to enable premium features across all devices. Can not create a task **Developer response:** Feel free to use the Support link anytime to get support if something is not working as it should! ### 2/5 — Can’t try with dark mode *2022-12-15, version 1.6.1* App looks like it has potential, and I always appreciate an app with the option to purchase a perpetual license. However, the free/trial version doesn’t have dark mode. Dark mode is an accessibility issue for many people. Wish I could try this app with dark mode before committing to a purchase. ### 2/5 — Extra features rip off *2018-01-01* I love the kanban idea for planning and simple project management and this is a good app. My advice though is just stick to the free version if you plan to use multiple devices or move on and look for other Kanban apps. An upgrade (which is not cheap by the way considering the unworthy extra features you will be getting), will mean you will also have to upgrade your iPad app as well or you can’t view your projects. This doubles the cost to almost £30. I think it’s rediculous. **Developer response:** Thank you for leaving a review! Pricing of course is always debatable. Do not hesitate to contact Support and propose what other features would make it more worthwhile for you - they just might appear along the way! ### 3/5 — How do you use this? *2022-01-11, version 1.6.1* Not intuitive ### 3/5 — Underrated *2019-10-17* This app, for simple kanbanier tasks which can even sync with your phone, is considerably underrated. Unlike online competitors such as Trello, it syncs using iCloud and works offline. Even if you don’t use the app on another platform, you can read the files easily with a text editor. And the Mac app is very lightweight. The free version is fine for basic tasks but if you want to do any task tracking then you need premium. Sadly I haven’t understand how to use collaborative features yet. I came from using Stickies so my needs were basic, and whilst this app lacks flexibility of Stickies the application of some visual order is very welcome. All I would say is that the iPhone app is not intuitive to use at all, and this likely accounts for the poor reviews. ### 3/5 — Love the app, wish I could share it *2019-06-20, version 1.6.1* Love the app but wish I could have it on my wife's phone too so she could make updates that we both see without having to upgrade to Apple's storage plan. Having to log in with log in credentials that could be shared would solve this. ### 3/5 — It’s alright. *2019-06-12, version 1.6.1* I can’t complain too awful much. It’s not very pretty, which I really don’t care about, and it’s kinda clunky, but it’s the sort of thing you won’t notice once you get used to it. But it does lack a certain ease of workflow which slows things down a bit, and, maybe I have fat fingers, but this app can’t ever seem to tell if I want to expand / collapse a column or row, or edit it. It always guesses wrong, and when I’m trying to consult it in a meeting I don’t need to be muttering “darn app!” under my breath. Which means it’s just going to go unused probably, unless I develop the magic touch the app seems to want. ### 3/5 — No Help *2017-03-20, version 1.0.1* Great Kanban board, good enough that I purchased the upgrade. However, there are no instructions for use, or contact information, either embedded in the program or on the Developer's website. While it is intuitive enough to figure most things out by trial and error, I can only give this 3 stars for my inability to produce the card list (part of the upgrade). If anyone has figured this out, please post it. Bottom line: if the developer takes a small amount of time to provide some help for this program, it could easily be 5 stars. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Simple, easy to use, compact layout *2021-08-09, version 1.6.1* I love the simplicity, ease of use, and compact layout of your app. I especially like being able to zoom out to view columns side by side. Most kanban apps waste too much space and allow viewing of only one column at a time. One thing I'd like to request though is the ability to sort cards alphanumerically. ### 5/5 — this is a gem of a Kanban-based app *2020-10-07, version 1.6.1* Because of little coverage by tech blogs and reviewers it took several hours of diligently going through the list of task management apps that offer kanban capabilities before I bumped into this. It took only a few minutes of using the free app to convince me to upgrade, which I did. Lots of flexibility that is not immediately obvious and not covered in any of the online help files. Surprisingly the images in the developer's old twitter feed provided much more information than the help file on the app's website. For me the most important feature is the ability to save the project file in one's chosen local directory (privacy!). All in all an excellent tool. Hopefully, the developer will begin updating it again soon. ps. Would like to know more about the file format and exportability of my data to other apps. ### 5/5 — Fantastic - exactly what I needed for personal kanban *2019-05-07* I’ve played around with a lot of different tools and this is the first tool that gave me exactly what I need. The row and column configuration option are flexible enough for me to configure the status and the projects/streams as I need. The cards themselves are great - especially with the configurability of the tags being able to take dates, hyperlinks, text and numbers. The fact that it stores to flat files means I can easily compartmentalise my projects. Most importantly for me, I can store/sync in a way that is secure and works for me (I use resilio sync). ### 5/5 — FANTASTIC! *2018-07-27, version 1.6.1* Perfect implementation of Kanban! Simple, hassle-free navigation, beautiful interface, and great exporting capabilities for printed hard copies! I have tried nearly every other Kanban App out there, and this is hands-down the best available. Upgraded to the full version after playing with the free one for a few hours, and it is worth EVERY penny! It is simpler and very straight forward. I really like how easy it is to assign cards two lanes it vertically or horizontally. The nest to Tyra case that you get with the paid version work very well. There is a little bit of a learning curve to notice what each part of the menu or click and drag does, but once you get it, you see how clean and slick it is. I love that I can have a professional Kanban with the same boards on both my iPad and Mac. Definitely worth the money for the upgrade. ### 5/5 — Love this app! *2017-02-28, version 1.0* I really like this new app and hope it the creators will continue to develop it. I really love the Kanban method of planning and organizing so it's wonderful the way you can quickly and efficiently move the tasks around to different categories, set up tags and color code your tasks. This program is very intuitive for tactile and visual use. It is also very simple so you can figure it out almost immediately, yet it has some features that can be used for more complex use. Also amazed that this app can sync with my Mac (Kanbanier program), iPhone and iPad while being a free download at the same time! The sync process so far seems very fast & efficient.
