## What is Kanjiyama?

Kanjiyama (漢字山, "kanji mountain") turns learning Japanese kanji into a mountain you climb step by step: N5 at the foot, N1 at the summit.
Your climb starts with all 110 N5 (beginner level) kanji, in eleven short lessons that take you from pictographs like 山 and 川 to everyday words like 食べる and 読む. N4 is the next stage, and new levels will keep coming until N1.

Every kanji has what you need on one page:
• Stroke order animation for every kanji
• Handwriting practice: trace it, then write it from memory, with feedback on every stroke and a 優 / 良 / 可 stamp at the end
• A hand-drawn ink picture for each of the 110 kanji, to help it stick
• On'yomi and kun'yomi, with romaji if you want it
• Example words grouped by reading, with furigana and Japanese audio

EXAM-STYLE QUIZZES
• Meaning, kanji reading (漢字読み) and writing (表記) questions
• Wrong choices built from the slips the test looks for: voiced sounds, small っ, long vowels, look-alike kanji
• A kanji you miss comes back before the quiz ends, and you can retry your misses

REVIEW AT THE RIGHT TIME
• Spaced repetition (FSRS) brings each kanji back just before you would forget it
• Daily streak, study calendar and stats
• An optional daily reminder, only on days you haven't studied yet

MADE FOR YOU
• The whole app in English or Burmese, kanji meanings included
• Dark mode, three text sizes, and layouts made for iPad
• No account. Your progress stays on your device.

Kanjiyama is free, with ads. Remove them for good with a one-time purchase.
