Kanjure lets you draw a kanji on your Apple Watch and instantly see its readings and meanings. No phone required. Perfect for when you're reading, studying, or just curious about a character you've spotted.

What makes Kanjure 2.0 different
The new version uses a machine learning approach that's never been done on watchOS before. The result: you can draw kanji however you want.

Kanjure 2.0 — Completely Rebuilt
This is the biggest update since launch. The handwriting recognition engine has been rebuilt from the ground up using a modern machine learning approach—a first for watchOS.
What this means for you:
• Draw kanji however feels natural. Stroke order doesn't matter anymore.
• Use as many or as few strokes as you like. The app figures it out.
• Recognition is dramatically more accurate, even for complex characters.
• Everything feels faster and more responsive.
If you've ever been frustrated by strict stroke-order requirements, this update is for you.
