## What is Kanonix Unit Converter?

Convert everyday and technical values with 16 categories and 106 units. Standard and manual unit conversions are free, including search, swap, copy, display precision, favorites and history. Core conversions work offline.

4–20 mA CALCULATOR
Available without a Toolkit purchase. Scale manually entered current to engineering units or calculate current from a value. Review percent of span and a five-point table. The calculator does not measure or source electrical current.

OPTIONAL FULL TOOLKIT
A one-time in-app purchase unlocks six Field Tools—Level & Slope, Magnetic Field, Decibel Meter, Pressure & Barometer, Scan & Convert and Quick Measure—and the complete For Fun collection. The app shows your App Store's local price. No subscription or ads. Restore Purchases is available.

CHOOSE YOUR DISPLAY
Set damping separately for live tools, including Off for real-time display. Magnetic Field uses a fixed 1–10,000 µT gauge. Save readings and calibration records locally on your device.

KNOW THE LIMITS
Sensor readings are estimates and do not replace calibrated instruments. Decibel Meter reports dBFS, not calibrated sound-pressure level, dBA or hearing-safety advice. Live motion, magnetometer, microphone, barometer and LiDAR features depend on device hardware; availability is shown before purchase. LiDAR requires compatible hardware. Manual Quick Measure is available within Full Toolkit. Camera and microphone permissions are requested when needed.

Free manual gauge/absolute pressure conversion and three For Fun comparisons are included: Pool water → giraffes, Tower → ostriches and Earth week → Mars days.

No Kanonix account is required. Apple handles purchases and restores, which require an App Store connection. Verified ownership supports offline access. Saved conversion and calibration records remain on your device when access changes.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.1 — 2026-10-07

Updated App Store screenshots. App functionality is unchanged.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-10-06

• Standard unit conversions, favorites and history are now free.
• New free 4–20 mA calculator with engineering-unit scaling, reverse calculations, percent of span and a five-point table.
• Optional Full Toolkit unlocks six Field Tools and the complete For Fun collection through a one-time purchase. No subscription or ads.
• The Field Tools collection includes the free calculator alongside six Toolkit destinations, with matching card styling and no extra shortcut on Convert.
• Choose display damping separately for live tools, including Off for real-time display. The magnetic gauge keeps a fixed 1–10,000 µT range.

### 1.3.1 — 2026-10-03

Choose how quickly your live readings respond.

Set display damping independently in Level & Slope, Magnetic Field, Microphone, Pressure & Barometer, and Quick Measure: Off, 0.5, 1, 2 or 5 seconds. Your choices are remembered. Level and Gradient share the same angle setting and start with damping Off; the other live tools retain a one-second default. Manual entry stays immediate.

The magnetic gauge and trend now use a fixed linear 1–10,000 µT scale. Readings outside that scale remain visible numerically, with a clear range message. Hold keeps supported live readings and their display settings together.

All six Field Tools have refreshed layouts and clearer reading states. Quick Measure offers manual dimensions and LiDAR estimates on compatible devices. Microphone readings are digital signal levels in dBFS, not calibrated environmental dB SPL or dBA. Display damping smooths readings; it does not improve sensor accuracy.

For Fun includes animal and everyday-object comparisons, with sources and calculation assumptions available in the app.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-15

Field Tools brings practical measurement helpers into one tab:

• Pressure & Barometer: live local pressure on supported devices, with explicit raw-device, manually entered, standard-atmosphere, and eligible corrected-device references.
• Level & Slope: view inclination and grade, enter angles manually, set a temporary relative zero, and hold a reading.
• Scan & Convert: scan printed values on-device, review the digits, unit, category, and pressure reference, then send the confirmed value to the converter. Manual text entry is also available.
• Quick Measure: enter measured dimensions to convert a distance or calculate rectangle area, then transfer the result to the converter.
• Magnetic Field: view raw X/Y/Z readings and total field strength in microtesla, millitesla, or gauss, with hold and pause controls.

Pressure imports retain their reference labels in results, copy/share, and history. Negative absolute-pressure entries are rejected. Device calibration records remain accessible when input and output pressure references match, with clearer Pressure & Barometer and manual-measurement navigation.

Device Calibration supports user-recorded corrections against a reference barometer with separate verification readings. Sensor estimates and user corrections do not establish traceable calibration or certified instrument accuracy. Use suitable reference evidence and approved procedures.

Live tools require compatible hardware and relevant Motion or Camera permission. Camera scanning availability varies by device; manual alternatives remain available. Camera images are processed on-device and are not saved or uploaded.
