## What is Kapit Kamay?

Kapit Kamay is a free, offline-first disaster preparedness app designed for Filipino households. Set up your household, add your family members, and get a personalized preparedness plan — all without needing an internet connection.

How it works:

1. Create your household and add members (family, neighbors, or anyone you prepare with)
2. Select the calamities relevant to your area — typhoon, flood, earthquake, fire, tsunami, volcanic, or landslide
3. Generate a custom-fitted preparedness plan with prioritized tasks organized by calamity
4. Track your progress with checklists, due dates, and a household preparedness percentage
5. Share your plan or individual task instructions via SMS or any messaging app

Why Kapit Kamay?

1. Works 100% offline — no account, no login, no internet required
2. On-device AI enhances your plan when available, with a reliable template fallback on every device
3. Plans are household-scoped, so every member knows their role
4. Bilingual: available in English and Filipino

Your data stays on your device. No cloud. No tracking. Just preparedness.
