Worst part is customer service will not get back to me. I have submitted 3 help requests now. Purchased a monthly subscription, thank heavens I didn’t waste money on the year. The good: Captions are fairly accurate and easy to edit. The BAD: After EVERY use of the app to caption a video the app would freeze itself and my camera roll requiring me to RESTART MY PHONE AFTER EVERY USE! The BAD: Contacted David via the contact form to see what advice he could give or to fix the bug…. NO REPLY. (Don’t offer a contact form if you aren’t going to answer.) The BAD: Figured I could avoid constantly turning off and restarting my phone if I did a longer video… NOPE. Although never mentioned, the app only uploads video files under 10 minutes which is NEVER MENTIONED IN SALES COPY. The BAD: Of course, as the app informs me that I can only do 10 minute videos it says I can 1 hour videos on the website… FOR AN EXTRA SUBSCRIPTION. Not going to pay more… and definitely don’t want to discover the nightmares involved there. The app itself deserves more than 1 star, but the developer and the missing sales copy info drag the overall rating into the negative star zone. **Developer response:** Hi! Sorry to hear your having problems and for the late reply. We're investigating what went wrong with your version! We are more than happy to refund you and give you a free coupon for when we have a fix for your version. При просмотре готового видео перед сохранением - всё ок. Как только я сохраняю и просматриваю- субтитры смешиваются и ставятся каким - то волшебным образом не там, где должны быть по времени. ### 1/5 — Not worth it *2021-10-28* I absolutely loved this app when I first bought it. I have not been able to use it for probably the last 2 months because it will not finish adding the captions. I have tried to contact support for help more than once without actually being helped. I am trying to figure out if I can get my money back!!! ### 1/5 — Application doesn’t has the subscription option *2021-08-24, version 5.4* Web has the subscription option and when you try to make a video the loading time is too long. The infinite loop logo keeps going. I mean try to update. ### 1/5 — A big NO *2021-08-19* Disappointed with the app. I downloaded it and when I was going to put subtitles on my video the app closed completely. When I re-entered the app, it wouldn't let me do anything because, according to what it said, I had exceeded the limits of videos per day, even if the first time it didn't work for me. It asked me to buy the unlimited package or wait 24 hours to try again, and when I went to buy it, it seemed the height of excess of how expensive it was. Приложение оплачено, но видео я сохранить не могу((( это как??!! ### 1/5 — Disappointing *2023-02-08* This app has potential, but falls short in so many ways that I regret my hasty decision to pay for a year’s subscription before fully testing it! Some of my many problems with this app include: weird choices of caption breaks, misspelled words, weird incorrect identifications of sentences, and the difficulties of editing short caption bars because it automatically is in play mode and sometimes it’s difficult to stop before you passed the caption bar. I just tested. 15 minutes in Kaptioned versus 10 minutes doing it myself in InShot. I paid for a time saver, and got an app that takes more time to do it right. To top it off, there are no features found in other similar apps such as dynamic captions. ### 1/5 — Удалила приложение. *2023-01-16* 1 час жизни в мусорное ведро. Со скоростью черепахи сохраняется видео, текст в котором я старательно корректировала. Предложили тут же платную версию. Отказываюсь. По второму кругу, пол часа сохраняют. В итоге, в галерее сломанное видео 👿 которое не воспроизводится. Захожу вновь в приложение, мое видео со скорректированным тестом сбросилось. ### 1/5 — Kaptionet *2022-12-08* Не даёт сохранять результат , полтора часа Работы, приложение оплачено ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2022-11-03, version 5.6* The app is not saving video. ### 1/5 — Basically impossible to use, and no response from support. *2022-08-24* Although this app does a really good job of generating auto captions that are pretty accurate, once that part is done it’s basically useless. I finished editing captions for a video, then paid for a subscription so I could remove the watermark from the video, and then was never able to actually download it. The interface is so basic there’s nowhere to even look for completed videos, and I went through the process four or five times to finalize the video, only to find that it wasn’t anywhere. I reached out to support for help, and have not heard back from them in the last 24 hours. I seriously doubt I will be even able to cancel my subscription at this point. ### 1/5 — Clearly not working *2022-08-13, version 5.6* I edited my video. Hit preview. I went to finalize it. I paid my $3. And then my saved finalized video just vanished. WTH! Do not download!! ### 1/5 — Did not work *2022-08-08* The app work nicely to create a video, but after days of trying it will not fully “finalize the video” so that it can be saved. Once I was able to get to the point of payment (and was charged) but the video did not complete finalization and will not save. It appears to be stuck as a draft.
