• One visual language, Pick, Palettes, and Settings now share the same typography, spacing, and accent drawn from the app icon.
• A calmer Pick tab, the camera, photo, and RGB entry points live in the navigation bar only. The empty screen no longer repeats them, and shows a short HEX fact instead.
• Recent colors, easier to read, each swatch now shows its HEX value and color name at a glance.
• Refreshed Settings, clearer section headers, a redesigned Pro card, and a plan card that shows exactly what your subscription includes.

Karafuru 2.3 brings a workspace designed for iPad.

• Native iPad sidebar - move quickly between Pick, Palettes, and Settings while keeping your work visible in a spacious detail area.
• A layout that fits - cards, sheets, palette grids, Pro previews, and export screens now use the larger display without stretching too wide.
• Adaptive multitasking - full-width iPad gets the new sidebar, while compact windows and Split View automatically use the familiar tab layout.
• Pick in place - choose a harmony color and the active color, HEX, RGB, harmony, and contrast results refresh together without opening Save Palette.
• Better palette browsing - see more swatches at a glance, open a palette, and copy color values or developer-ready code from the same workspace.
• Polished navigation - Settings stays easy to reach at the bottom of the sidebar, and links, shared images, camera picks, and searches route to the correct iPad detail.

This update also includes small visual refinements and reliability improvements across iPhone and iPad. Everything still works offline and keeps your color workflow private.

### 2.2 — 2026-07-27

Karafuru has a new look, and there is more to do with every color you pick.

• A new dark design - the whole app moved to a deep, low-glare dark theme with one typeface throughout, so the colors are what stand out.
• Color names - every color you pick now shows its name, matched against a catalog of more than 30,000 named colors.
• Contrast and harmony where you pick (Pro) - check WCAG contrast against black and white, and generate complementary, analogous and triadic sets, shades and tints, without leaving the Pick tab.
• Edit palettes in place - rename a palette, edit its description, drag colors into the order you want, and select several to remove at once.
• iCloud sync, free for everyone - palettes and recent colors stay in step across your devices. Settings shows when a sync is running and when it last finished, and iPhone models with the Dynamic Island can show it there as you open the app.
• Also: a simpler sheet for new palettes, refreshed onboarding, clearer palette icons, and translation fixes across every supported language.
