## What is karvid?

karvid turns any karaoke video on your phone into a ready-to-post duet.

  Load a karaoke clip from Photos, press record once, and karvid plays the video while filming you on the front camera at the same time. When
  you stop, it composes a vertical 1080×1920 take with you on top and the original karaoke on the bottom — already in the format Reels, TikTok,
  and Shorts want.

  Pick what gets saved
  • Full take — every second from start to stop
  • First 3 minutes — capped for Stories and Reels
  • First 15 seconds — ready for the short-form feed
  Turn any combination on in Settings; karvid produces each enabled length as a separate file in Photos.

  Made for fast iteration
  • Records pause, seek and play during a take, so the final video tracks what you actually watched
  • Saves resume position per song — open a clip again and it picks up where you stopped
  • Background export: close the recording screen and start the next song while the previous take is still saving
  • Bluetooth-friendly — keeps the karaoke audio on your A2DP route while the phone mic captures your voice

Also a Files-app music player
  • Pick any folder in Files (iCloud Drive, On My iPhone, anywhere) and karvid scans it for audio
  • AirDrop an mp3 straight into karvid and it imports it
  • Tracks what you've played and when, sorts by name, date added, last played, plays count, or shuffle, filters to unplayed or not-yet-recorded

  Privacy
  karvid records to your own Photos library. No accounts, no upload, no analytics.
