## What is Kasane?

"What did I wear the last time it was this warm?"
"What did the kids wear around this time last year?"
"Had the garden sprouted by now last year?"

Kasane Diary is a 3-year photo diary. Add one photo a day, and the day's temperature and weather are attached automatically.
Its best trick is search by temperature: see your photos from days with about the same temperature as today. Your own record becomes a guide for what to wear and when to switch seasons.
Every morning, the top of the home screen shows today's high, low and 8 am temperature, with photos from days that felt the same. From the evening, it switches to tomorrow, so you can pick clothes the night before.

■ What you can do
・Every morning: today's high, low and 8 am temperature, with photos from days that felt the same
・In the evening: tomorrow's temperature, with photos from days that were just as warm
・Search past pages by the day's high temperature
・Just add today's photo — temperature, weather and place are added for you
・See today stacked with last week, last month, last year and 2 years ago
・Flip through days with past years stacked, and watch the seasons or your kids change
・Share a flip-through as a video, or a day's page as an image, with your family
・Import past photos from your camera roll and add the temperature of each day afterwards
・Calendar view to see a whole month at a glance
・A daily reminder for today's photo

■ Your photos stay on your phone
Photos and records are stored only on your device and are never sent to a server.
Temperatures come from Open-Meteo weather data; your location is rounded to about 10 km before asking.

■ Made for
・Parents who wonder what to dress the kids in each morning, and want to keep a growth record
・Gardeners who want to compare how plants grow each season
・Anyone keeping an outfit log together with the weather
・Anyone who wants a photo diary that is actually useful later

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.9.0 — 2026-10-26

- Added support for iPhone Duo. Unfold it and the diary opens as a two-page spread: today on the left, the same day from past years on the right
- On the unfolded screen, Calendar shows last month and this month side by side, and Search and Settings split across both pages
- On the cover screen, the tabs now sit in the strip on the right edge

### 1.8.5 — 2026-10-22

- Fixed a bug where replacing photos several times in a row could stop saving

### 1.8.4 — 2026-10-19

- Place search now finds small towns and villages
- When you replace a photo with one taken somewhere else, the place and that day's temperature are updated too
- A full-screen progress view shows while a photo is being replaced
- Other small fixes

### 1.8.2 — 2026-10-18

- Importing past photos: fixed the 1- and 2-year ranges being off by one day. A full-screen progress view now shows while importing, the screen stays on, and you can continue where you stopped
- Exported backups are also kept on this device, so you can restore from them without picking a file
- Temperatures added automatically are now replaced with the actual values within a few days (ones you typed stay as they are)
- Swipe the calendar sideways to change months
- Tap a photo in the slideshow to open that day's page
- Swipe down to close the photo picker sheet
- Other small fixes found in testing

### 1.8.1 — 2026-10-17

- In the evening (from 6 pm), the top of Home switches to tomorrow: tomorrow's high, low and 8 am temperature, with photos from days that felt the same, so you can pick clothes the night before
- The evening notification now asks "Picked tomorrow's clothes?". You can turn on a nightly 8 pm note right from the evening card
- Days with a similar temperature now start with the closest highs, and the last two weeks come last
