Love the convenience of recording anytime while on the go. Knowing that your records are backed up online helps you feel secure. I can also sync and use from my other iPad. It's simple and not complicated. Producing financial statements are easy for tax purposes. Update: I am ditching this app. My subscription tripled in price, from $99 to $324 and I wasn’t advise of renewal, my card was just charged. No answer on calls. I will switch to another accounting app. ### 1/5 — No tutorial *2021-02-23* Maybe I missed it but there’s no tutorial ### 2/5 — Frustrated long time customer *2021-01-16* We loved this app, how it worked on our phones and tablets and it all worked together seamlessly. And ya ya the price went up a while ago but I don’t mind paying for a good and working product. That’s in the past. Possibly after iOS 14, the mobile app absolutely won’t sync. Entered invoices in the app, then they are marked as unpaid. The app will not accept input. It will not sync, it will just crash every single time I try and sync or enter an invoice. Only way around this is to enter invoices online using the web browser side of things, delete the mobile app and then re-download everything onto my phone or iPad. Seriously?? Did something happen to your server or your cloud hosting service? ### 1/5 — It says 2.0 isn’t supported by the app *2021-01-16* Huge pain, as the app won’t work and I have to enter everything from desktop. I want to use the app so I can take photos of my receipts from my phone ### 1/5 — Useless if in the UK *2020-12-07, version 4.22* The app is great very simple to use but sadly the company seem to have no ambition at all to work properly with the UK the system isn’t even UK tax compliant. They just billed us $200 for the next year. No advance notice and changing mid month mid year. A pretty low approach and a bit of a sneaky maneuver. Customer service has gone downhill continuously over this time. The program has a number of bugs and you have to spend a lot of time figuring out workarounds. Their credit card processing sometimes works sometimes not. Bank data import works on a spotty basis. Dropping this like a hot potato. ### 2/5 — Bye Kashoo! It’s been real. *2018-07-05* I have used Kashoo the past 3-4 years and loved their services, but had to leave because of their substantial increase in price. Now they TRIPLED THE PRICE. What no tiers? Not reasonable for a small business like mine. I feel suckered. Now they have years of my books and I gotta walk away. I bet they were banking on holding ppl hostage over years of records. Simple google search reveals other competitors at a MUCH better price, doing the same thing. Screw Kashoo!!! ### 1/5 — LOVE-d IT!!! *2017-12-28* I couldn’t imagine running my business without Kashoo! But now I’m going to. I just received notification that the service will be going from a $50/yearly invoicing to a $200/yearly invoicing. Of course they’ll be adding new snazzy features. But since I run a very tiny business, I don’t need anything else but the basics. And since $200 makes a significant impact on my families’ income, I’m looking elsewhere for a financial organization method. However, it may just come down to an excel situation (a $50 discount!) and a little more time invested in my quarterly and yearly reports. Could Kashoo perhaps make a “small-er business” option?? Where it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles but the basics are still available (invoicing, expense tracking, P&L reports and the like) where it would cost a lower amount. Doesn’t even have to be $50. Could be more like $75. I get prices rise...but $200??!! Just a thought. I am sad to be leaving Kashoo as I have loved using your very user friendly program! Features very limited ### 1/5 — Redesign of app removes best features *2022-04-05* 1. You cannot search for a supplier, you can only scroll. 2. When creating a expense the old version used to keep the options we usually used, ie. payment method, account, category etc. Now you must enter it in every time. 3. Can no longer Search for past expenses for a specific supplier 4. Can’t add directly a expense if I have a pdf and click share outside of the app. We used to do this all the time with the old app. My recommendation is if you haven’t updated, avoid. I wish I hadn’t. ### 1/5 — Down grade *2022-03-31* The old version had issues but I could easily navigate and get done what I needed. The upgrade is more of a down grade. How can that even happen?? Increased price WWWAAAAAYYYY too much and made it so very user unfriendly. It’s now takes so much longer to write up an invoice. Then you can’t preview it. Customer service is slow and smug. Extremely disappointed. I’m switching ### 1/5 — Not a fan of the update *2022-03-12* Not at all a fan of the update. There are many things that are lacking, but especially the ability to duplicate an old invoice and find a client. I have many invoices that are identical each month, in the old version I was able to duplicate and send super quickly, now I need to recreate each invoice from scratch. Finding clients in the list to invoice is also extremely cumbersome with no search function and it appears the list isn’t even alphabetized?! Takes me forever to find clients to select from the list, especially when their name and business is on their client profile, but while I used to search their business, now their name appears on the list instead. The minimalism seems cheap to me, I liked being able to do everything I could from the desktop version on my phone. I truly hope there is a fix to these problems soon. ### 1/5 — Horrific *2022-03-11* I’m not sure who is feasibly writing good reviews about this. Kashoo has drastically increased their price, but completely removed functionality from this app. The old app was glitchy and definitely had issues. I was excited to see a new app was being released. But instead of improving the existing the app, they’ve released a new app with half the functions of the old one. It takes twice as long to make an invoice and you can’t access half as many features. This is an embarrassment. I’m doing everything I can to cancel the remainder of my yearly subscription, that I just paid, and get money back for the unused portion. Quickbooks lowered their price and added features to their app. What the heck is Kashoo thinking? ### 1/5 — New app is hot garbage *2022-03-09* Old app was fantastic. Every feature you could need and worked great. The new one is an absolute tire fire. The desktop site still works great but without proper mobile app this just isn’t a competitive product. It’s a bummer the old one was great. Recommend going elsewhere for your accounting/book keeping need ### 1/5 — New iOS App is useless *2022-03-08* The old app used to let use Share Sheet to upload receipts into KASHOO. That has been removed. Banking ledgers have been removed, no account balances are accessible. Non adequate reporting. When entering Income in app it shows your suppliers along with your customers. Overall a mess. To simplify their development key features were removed. No consideration for their users. I use my phone to run my business and and this app has taken away all the functionality. If I could revert I would. Horrible ### 1/5 — Current databases NOT supported!!! *2021-08-10* For some reason, database 2.0, which is the database that you were create as a new customer, or not supported. They do not tell you this. I started using cashew so they could use it on my iPad and my iPhone while I was out working. The lay out is so user friendly and it gets you up and running in no time. It's my go to accounting software. ### 5/5 — Great customer service!! *2017-07-19, version 4.14.1* I downloaded the free trial and it seems like it works fine. I've been using QuickBooks a long time and I think it is probably a better choice than QuickBooks for a small company with a few employees/no employees. however, I still wanted to cancel this subscription because I'm committed to using QuickBooks for the next six months. here's where it gets good! The team at kashoo walked me through getting into my iPhone and canceling the Kashoo subscription I had initiated through the App Store. so I am really impressed that they took the time to help me stop payment to them during my free trial! also, on the program itself I had some questions. They emailed me answers within 24 hours which I think is pretty good. I'm one of those "idea guys" who goes into business and then needs really good systems to stay organized and stay focused. Kashoo focuses my personal finances and the finances of three separate entities all from my phone and computer. It has been the perfect accounting solution so that I can give my tax preparer detailed reports without having to hire an accountant.
