## What is Kassette (6cc72e)?

Kassette: Memories, Stuck on Repeat.

Some moments aren't meant to end. Kassette is a unique media player designed for the videos you just can't let go of. Whether it’s an old memory from your camera roll that you need to live inside for a little longer, or a downloaded video you want to listen to endlessly, Kassette turns your gallery into a personal mixtape.

With Kassette, you can import any video from your phone and play its audio on an infinite loop, directly in the background. Close the app, lock your screen, and let the echoes of the past, or your favourite saved audio, play continuously.

No ads interrupting your thoughts. No algorithms. Just your memories, stuck on repeat.

Features:

Endless Background Play: Lock your phone or use other apps while your imported video’s audio plays seamlessly in the background.

Turn Videos Into Mixtapes: Easily import personal memories, saved Instagram Reels, or downloaded TikToks. Kassette extracts the audio and treats it like a continuous track.

Lock Screen Controls: Pause, play, and interact with your loops directly from your lock screen, just like you would with your favourite music app.

Offline Access: Your memories stay with you. Everything is stored locally on your device, requiring no internet connection to play your tapes.

For when the past sounds better than the present.
Load a memory, press play, and let it loop.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-10-04

A fresh coat of tape.

• All-new design: a dotted cassette, new type, and every screen redrawn, in black or cream paper.
• Your lock screen and Dynamic Island now show the memory you're playing.
• Previous and next on the lock screen now skip between tapes instead of jumping 10 seconds.
• The gallery opens faster when you tap +.
• If a video ever gets stuck, playback now recovers on its own, with no need to restart the app.
• A more accurate waveform when trimming, so finding the good part is easier.
• Simpler filters, and haptics that only buzz when you tap.
• Ready for iOS 27.

Rewind. Relive. Repeat.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-14

This is our biggest update yet: a complete redesign that puts your videos front and center.

ALL-NEW LOOK
• A fresh design built around your videos, with bold cards, softer glass controls, and a warm glow at the top of the screen.
• Light mode. Kassette now follows your device's appearance.
• Filter your tapes by Favorites, Clipped, or Recently added.

FULL-SCREEN VIDEO
• Now Playing shows your whole video, edge to edge, with a soft blur that fades into the controls.
• Landscape videos sit neatly in the center of the screen.
• Prefer to just listen? Switch to Audio only and watch the tape spin.

BETTER LOCK SCREEN
• Your tape's thumbnail now appears on the Lock Screen, in Control Center, and in the Dynamic Island.
• Previous and next buttons replace the 10-second skips, so you can jump between tapes without unlocking.

PICKS UP WHERE YOU LEFT OFF
• Kassette remembers the last tape you were playing and exactly where you left off.

FIXES
• Fixed an issue where a phone call could leave playback stuck until you restarted the app.
• Notifications like "Clip saved" now display properly.
• General performance and stability improvements.

Thanks for looping with Kassette. If you're enjoying it, a rating or review helps a lot.
