I had hoped it would be easier to use on an iPad., but sadly there is no specific iPad app, so there is no benefit from all that extra screen real-estate. It would perhaps help were one able to prepare content in one's app of choice, but I can see no way in which such content might then be imported into Katasymbol - which is the only way I have of actually printing! It's a shame, as the label printer I use with this app is very nice, but the app itself ruins the otherwise excellent experience. ### 2/5 — Awful *2026-07-31, version 1.3.23* Not the easiest app to use. It is not very user friendly. I cannot enter text how I want to. I have to find an alternative way to get the text how I want it. Classic printer company corrupt mother *******. Suddenly I can’t use the printer I paid for and have to throw away all my tape stock (as well as their printers) never to buy again. I hope they promptly go out of business. ### 1/5 — Data Mining Scam *2026-05-27, version 1.3.19* Read the privacy policy. It’s an overly permissive app with potential access to collect tons of data. Would not recommend if your phone contains any type of sensitive information. ### 1/5 — Stopped working *2026-05-22* I have barely used this label maker and no that I try it won’t work. Frustrating! I have troubleshooted everything. ### 4/5 — Great labeler; App straight forward to use *2026-05-02* Great label maker(E11) and love the option to use continuous tape vs fixed length labels. App is easy to use. Like the idea to adjust letter spacing and line space but could be better. It doesn’t allow you to go closer than the default spacing between letters and closer between the lines. You can only space things out/further away. This would come in handy to eliminate the white spacing between lines, etc. and use a slightly larger font size in the process. ### 1/5 — Stopped working *2026-04-13* Doesn’t connect to printer anymore ### 1/5 — Horrible. Don’t fall for it! *2026-04-11* This app has short “instructional” videos that do not solve horrible glitches in the device not printing. Even when you follow all the instructions, you’ll be right back where I am…returning their product and getting a refund! Support is also not available on the weekends, which is awful. Clunky machinery and technology with cheesy videos along with FAQs that aren’t addressing common issues…it’s a no for me. ### 1/5 — Who ruined this app? *2026-04-03, version 1.1.1* I purchased a SUPVAN T50M Pro Bluetooth Label Maker in Feb 2025, and this app was the one we had to use to create labels. It was clunky and awkward to use but I stuck with it and was able to produce the labels I needed by using the app on my MacBook Pro. Recently a new version of Katasymbol appeared on my MacBook, possibly as a result of an OS upgrade? The new version of the app wiped out all the templates I had saved! The new version tries so hard to be something more than what it is that it is now basically unusable for label printing! Fortunately I have the old version on my phone and finally was able to produce two labels. Now it won’t print because I’m using “counterfeit tape” ### 1/5 — Update makes it nonfunctional *2026-08-09, version 1.3.23* After an update, it says it detected counterfeit supplies and won’t work. Been using this for years without issue. ### 1/5 — “Compatible” Tape No Longer Works after App Update *2026-08-01, version 1.3.23* Purchased the label maker last year from Amazon. Worked fine with the original tape, bought some tape clearly marked as “compatible” from (and actually suggested by) Amazon. Worked fine. Now with the most recent update of THIS APP, the tape that’s already in the maker, marketed as “compatible” fails the RFID check. Apparently the app update enforces stricter checking. So while that isn’t the app’s “fault”, per se, the app update DID cause this. Naturally the SUPVAN tape costs more than the label maker cost originally, so this app - and the label maker it is associated with - are being replaced by something else. ### 1/5 — Never connects properly *2026-07-28, version 1.3.23* What’s the point of making something like this if you aren’t going to do it properly? It takes so much fiddling to get the device to connect to the app to do something relatively simple. Not impressed ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2026-07-27, version 1.3.23* Junk app. Device is junk too. Doesn’t recognise genuine labels half the time, renders it useless. Don’t bother. Buy a label maker that doesn’t require an app to work. ### 1/5 — Worked great…now not so much *2026-07-24, version 1.3.23* Version 1.3.23 now rejects label rolls that have previously worked for months with my E10. The app reports ‘Counterfeit supplies detected’ on rolls that were successfully used before the update. ### 1/5 — Can’t use my tape after new update *2026-07-23, version 1.3.23* I’ve been using third-party tape without issue. After updating to 1.3.23, the app now says ‘Counterfeit supplies detected’ and refuses to print. This changed after the update and now I can’t use my tape. I used this last night. Today, no dice. ### 1/5 — Cannot connect to T50M Pro *2026-07-02, version 1.1.1* Label creation, import, export works… but it does not connect to the T50M Pro over USB or Bluetooth. ### 1/5 — Nicht richtig nutzbar unter iPhone 12 und 15 Pro *2026-06-29* Vermutlich ist die App ursprünglich für Android geschrieben worden und dann für iOS konvertiert, der Button um ein neues Label zu erstellen wird beim Anklicken nicht ausgeführt manchmal mit ca. 30 Sekunden Verzögerung. Die Optionsänderung auf „Fortlaufende Etikettenbänder“ wird nach Auswahl nicht übernommen, somit ist man dauerhaft limitiert in der lange der Etiketten. Ansonsten funktioniert die App einigermaßen, da aber Hauptfunktionen nicht nutzbar / eingeschränkt sind für mich 0 Sterne.
