## What is Katharo?

Your camera roll is full of things you never meant to keep: screenshots, near-identical bursts, blurry shots, receipts you photographed once and forgot.

Katharo finds them. You swipe.

Right to keep, left to delete. Nothing disappears until you say so — one bulk confirmation at the end, and everything stays recoverable for 30 days in Recently Deleted.

WHAT KATHARO FINDS
• Screenshots — including old ones you forgot about
• Large videos quietly eating your storage
• Burst shots and selfies
• Exact duplicates and near-identical frames (Pro)
• Low-quality and blurry photos (Pro)
• "Not a memory" — receipts, documents, listings, memes (Pro)

ON-DEVICE ANALYSIS
Every bit of analysis runs on your iPhone using Apple Vision. No server. No account. No tracking. No advertising identifier. No third-party SDKs. Katharo never uploads your photos — that is not a marketing line, it is how the app is built. It even works in Airplane Mode. Nothing to opt out of, because nothing is collected.

DELETING IS FREE AND UNLIMITED
Many cleaners lock deletion behind a paywall or ask for money the moment a scan finishes. Katharo never does. Delete as much as you want, for as long as you want, for free. Pro unlocks only the AI groups (similar, exact duplicates, low quality, "not a memory").

HONEST NUMBERS
Katharo will not tell you it "freed 12 GB" the second you tap delete. Deleted items move to Recently Deleted and keep taking up space for 30 days — we say so plainly, show what was actually handled, and remind you how to reclaim the space for real.

YOU DECIDE, NOT THE AI
In every AI group the default is KEEP — nothing is pre-selected for deletion. Katharo suggests the best shot of a set and explains why each photo was flagged. If you prefer it more aggressive, that is a setting you turn on, never the default.

BUILT FOR EVERYONE
Full VoiceOver labels and actions, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion, Reduce Transparency and WCAG AA contrast — measured and tested, not assumed.

Available in English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish and Italian.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-01

• AI now gets through large photo libraries much faster: it reviews the photos on your phone first, then downloads the ones in iCloud. When your phone warms up, it slows down instead of stopping.
• While charging, the screen stays on as long as AI is reviewing, so the review no longer stalls when the screen locks.
• Switching to another tab no longer pauses the review.
• The same photos now always end up in the same groups.
• The review screen now tells you when photos are being downloaded from iCloud.

Deleting is always free and unlimited. Katharo never uploads your photos.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-30

• A short three-page intro for newcomers: what Katharo finds, how to swipe, and how deleting is confirmed. You can open it too, from Settings › How it works.
• Three new free groups: Screen recordings, Short videos (under 3 seconds) and Animated.
• Pinch to zoom in the grid is now smooth: photos fade into their new places instead of jumping.
• The card on top of the deck now catches every swipe right away, and the "To delete" sheet no longer opens on its own.
• Colored buttons are clearly readable in Dark Mode.
• We tidied up our own house again: small bugs swept away.

Deleting is always free and unlimited. Katharo never uploads your photos.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-25

• A new home screen: every cleanup group appears as an album card made of its own photos.
• A new grid view in every group: pinch to zoom in or out, slide your finger to select several at once, select all, and queue them in one tap.
• "Exact duplicates" now gathers only truly identical shots. "Similar shots" sensitivity is adjusted right on the group's own screen.
• A share button: send the photo you're reviewing without leaving the app.
• You set the minimum size for "Large videos" (100 MB by default).
• Appearance setting: System, Light or Dark.
• We tidied up our own house too: small bugs swept away.

Deleting is free and unlimited, and your photos are never uploaded anywhere.
