I have to close the app multiple times before it starts to work correctly. The radar often doesn’t show up or when it does it flashes on and off quickly making it difficult to use. I use the app all the time, but I’m tired of the app not working correctly. I do miss being able to easily find the weather commentary/summary text that used to be at the bottom. One now has to click around to find it amongst the links at the bottom. It would be nice to get a basic summary of the day without having to watch an advertisement and video or poke around to find it, like it was for years. My suggestion/request is to put the text summary back on the main page at the bottom. :-) And to be honest, I find I skip most videos because of the forced advertisements on every single video. Otherwise keep up the great work! ### 2/5 — Weather app *2023-02-04, version 5.7.301* The previous app that disappeared from my phone and forced me to download this one was much more concise and much better. ### 4/5 — It’s a great weather app *2022-11-04, version 5.6.500* The app is actually pretty good I’ve used it for several years but this is were I’m going to sound like a hypocrite I do enjoy being able to get alerts relevant to my location but this is where I’m taking issue my phone informed me that the app had tracked my location 178 times over a 3 day period and to emphasize this let’s say hypothetically Texas was under water and the beacons are a path I could walk from my home to college station without getting my feet wet ### 3/5 — Audio Quality below par *2022-07-28, version 5.6.500* I enjoy using the app for local weather forecasts - probably the most accurate for my area. The only issue I’ve found with the app is that in every single video that is posted with sound (many are not), the audio breaks up and you can’t hear what the forecasters are saying. The sound gets choppy at points and you just miss what they are saying. I’ve stopped watching the videos because it gets frustrating. The human voice that comes on warning you of approaching severe weather will wake up even the most sound sleeper. We continue to be awakened at all hours of the night by non-severe weather updates and “cooler weather for today”, type alerts. I’ve seen several comments stating that “this app can save lives”, but that only works if you don’t annoy people into turning off their alerts, phone, or altogether deleting the app as we will be doing now. ### 1/5 — Too many commercials *2023-05-07, version 5.7.301* There are too many commercials. Every time I touch the arrow to watch a weather video, the video sound cuts in and out, freezes, starts & stops, I can never hear the complete forecast. Direct TV does not furnish KBTX as our CBS Affliate. We get CBS out of Tyler. I just do not care for their Senior meteorologist. Marcus with KETK & Fox does excellently. SW Houston Cnty is too far for Tyler/Longview. By highway we are an hour closer to B/CS. Please keeping up the high standard; I miss KBTX WEATHER, NEWS, & SPORTS!!!!!
