Kebarp is your go-to arpeggiator for quick and easy pattern creation. Its customizable and responsive grid allows you to craft arpeggio patterns effortlessly. Simply connect a MIDI keyboard or sequencer to Kebarp as a source, and route its MIDI output to an audio app. It will arpeggiate the note you are playing according to the pattern you've drawn on the grid. You can fine-tune the arpeggiator's settings, including minimum and maximum octave reach, step count, gate, velocity, and swing, directly from the control grid. Easily select a scale from the control strip and start creating arp patterns by dragging your finger around the grid. To remove a note, simply tap on it. All notes are locked within the chosen scale, with numbers on the grid representing notes relative to the root note. For instance, 1 represents the original note, +2 is the note after, -2 is the note before, and so on. The retrigger option in the settings menu resets the sequencer with each new note played. Activate pattern chaining to automatically advance to the next pattern once the current one finishes playing. Includes Kebarp and Keboard AUv3 MIDI plugins. The standalone version of Kebarp supports Ableton Link. Please note that Kebarp is a MIDI app. The standalone version has an optional internal synth where you can enable or disable on the settings menu. The AUv3 plugin requires an audio app for output. I use it to add dynamic, evolving sequences that compliment the genre I'm tackling. The new preset system is awesome and really helps new users get musically sound results immediately. If only it kept the 'Key' parameter and could run from it's own internal clock. Please bring these factors to the AU version. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work with external midi controllers? *2025-01-01* I’m sure that this is supposed to be a midi app, and I know how those work, but this one seems to be very limited for some reason. I can use the onscreen iPad midi keyboard, but that’s all it works with. It doesn’t work with external controllers, such as my Arturia KETSTEP 37 or my Atom SQ controller. It’s therefore of very little practical use, unless you actually like working with a small, onscreen midi keyboard that is. I like Cem Olcay’s other apps, but I’m not impressed with this one. Maybe someone can tell me which external midi controllers this DOES work with. **Developer response:** You can definitely work with external MIDI hardware. Kebarp just waits a MIDI note input then arpeggiates that note depending on what you draw on the screen (0 being the note you play, +1 being the note after, -1 being the note before in the scale and so on). There are a few tutorial videos on youtube as well as a tutorial section on the settings menu. Do much easier than other arps. To anyone reading this, I suggest you ignore the ridiculous one star that ‘confused’ wrote. If an app doesn’t work the way you think it should, read the manual or watch some of the many great YouTube videos by Jade Starr, or The Sound Test Room, and then contact the developer directly. It is very easy. Don’t just give an app a crappy review because you don’t know how to do something. ### 1/5 — Confused *2024-04-16* I can’t get it to work in LogicPro. Either doesn’t record at all, or records in part. I have utilised it the same way as I do all my midi fx. Only one suggestion would make this a 5 star app for me. Please add an undo button or move the delete button away from the scale button!
