### 4/5 — Love the app but no updates

*2026-08-02, version 7.8*

Love this app because I get a great workout in a short amount of time. I can plug in what equipment I have and Keelo recommends workouts for me based on what equipment I have also based on my experience and activity level. It tracks what muscle groups I’ve worked and recommends workouts to target those areas needed next. I love the fact that I can contact my coach at any time and they get back to me pretty quick. Worth every penny! Love the free shirts they send when hitting milestones. The Keelo fam social media aspect keeps me inspired. Hoon and his team are fantastic! I just wish they would update the app as they stopped doing that a while ago.

### 3/5 — Was great once

*2026-07-29, version 7.8*

No new development in years. Still haven’t received achievement swag. Stinks bc it’s a great workout app … or was.

### 2/5 — Abandoned

*2026-06-10, version 7.8*

App has been abandoned by developer while still collecting subscriptions. App offers free merch (t-shirts, hoodies, etc.) when a certain number of workouts are completed. Thresholds are met inside of app but merch never sent. No response from emails to developers. Filed complaint with AppStore. App should be removed.

### 2/5 — Nothing for something

*2026-03-17, version 7.8*

This app is no longer being maintained or updated but is still perfectly happy to take your subscription money. It falsely advertises rewards that it no longer delivers and even asks for improvement feedback that it never responds to. In short, this app doesn’t deserve your money so seek alternatives if you are looking for a serious fitness solution.

### 2/5 — Videos don’t load

*2025-10-23, version 7.8*

The workouts are still there but videos aren’t loading. Has been this way for about a week.

### 3/5 — Was the Best

*2025-06-12, version 7.8*

I wish Keelo was still maintained and updated. I was the best shape in my life when I had used Keelo consistently. But, I had to move on to other apps due to an injury (unrelated to Keelo) and because the app was no longer supported. This app had the best blend of strength and HIT training for overall health. Plus, its community and award system was unique. I hope the creators reconsider updating Keelo for modern phones for Apple health integration and security.

### 2/5 — App No Longer Supported

*2025-03-08, version 7.8*

One of the best workout apps on the market. Unfortunately it’s no longer supported and no new content is being added. I think this is a great app for a beginner, but as time goes on it’s easy to find your self doing the same old routines.

### 3/5 — App No Longer Support

*2025-03-04, version 7.8*

Hands down one of the best workout apps on the market. Unfortunately it’s no longer supported and no new content is being added. I think this is a great app for a beginner, but as time goes on it’s easy to find your self doing the same old routines.

### 4/5 — Consistency

*2024-10-18, version 7.8*

Does a great job building consistency and helping log process. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that some of the recommended weights/reps are unrealistic on either side sometimes.

### 4/5 — Great app but a few tweets would make it perfect

*2024-09-01, version 7.8*

I’m really enjoying this app after a week of using. The variation of workouts is great and the instructions and videos are really clear and easy to follow along. I also appreciate the recommended weight but with the option to amend to weight that suits you.

It would be great to be able to see the week or even day aheads workout. Not essential but I like to prepare myself and it makes planning in active rest more effective if you know your training program. The main irritation with the app is that it doesn’t allow for time between exercises, meaning some exercises get less time than others due to having to move into new positions. A 5 second ‘prepare for next exercise’ would make this app excellent!

### 3/5 — Good, but could be GREAT

*2024-07-25, version 7.8*

A good app to prompt home CrossFit-like workouts, ie structured warmup/strength component/conditioning ‘WOD’ workout/cooldown. This is varied across body parts and fundamental movements, and can be adjusted to the kit available to you. It also has a huge range of pre populated workout library. So far so good.

Despite reviews, I’m not entirely sure it varies the workouts across the different energy systems (as regular Crossfitters will know) of the body in a planned program way, but perhaps that’s more obvious over time - I’ve only been using it for a few weeks.

It’s quite regularly glitchy, not synchronised between phone and Apple Watch, or crashing especially with trying to control external music apps from within Keelo. They haven’t updated for 2yrs and most reviews seem to be from 2-3yrs, with no response to a feedback email I sent, so I wonder if the developers have turned their back on taking it further.

Which brings me to what it could be.

If you could put in your own workouts, for instance if you split your time between working out at home with Keelo and visiting a local box/gym, and include those inputs in your total progress, it’d be a game changer - a central hub for all your workouts.

If it held an in app chat to engage with the community (á la Ladder) rather than just insta-style posts and a daily coach video with a real person, it’d radically improve it and use well-established sports psychology lessons to engage and motivate its users longterm.

The price for what seems to be an adequate and no longer meaningfully supported app is a bit high.

### 4/5 — These workouts hit the sweet spot

*2024-06-13, version 7.8*

I really enjoy this app. But I was always looking for a more challenging workout that didn’t go full Crossfit. The HIIT/Strength combo is perfect. Leaves me drenched with sweat in as little time as possible. Highly recommended!

### 4/5 — Gave me motivation!

*2024-03-31, version 7.8*

I have done just under 500 work outs with this app over the last few years and without it I would never have pushed myself the way I did. Customizable depending on the equipment available which is huge if you are not using the same gym all the time, or no gym at all.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Very Glitchy App

*2026-06-26, version 7.8*

Apps very glitchy, it will not give you the right active calorie count that was burned.

### 1/5 — Can not be restored on new iPhone

*2026-01-09, version 7.8*

Despite subscribtion- restoration not possible on new smartphone- phone number from Germany can not be entered

### 1/5 — Used to be great

*2025-12-06, version 7.8*

This was my go to app for last 7 years. Actual workouts are great, videos are helpful, works with Apple Watch. But is it dead now? Is anyone updating or keeping tabs on it? Used to be monthly competitions, and then they disappeared. Used to get merch at certain milestones, never received my last one. Sent a couple emails to the feedback address and have had zero responses. Latest app version is from like 4 years ago, around same time as last Facebook posts. YouTube channel older than that. But monthly price still managed to go up. Guess it’s time to jump ship

### 1/5 — Billing

*2025-06-15, version 7.8*

Won’t let me renew. Says not available for special offer, but won’t give any other option

### 1/5 — Scammers

*2025-04-28, version 7.8*

False advertisement and they stop supporting their users.

### 1/5 — Unmaintained

*2025-02-28, version 7.8*

Great app in its day, but no updates in 3 years. Doesn’t sync to Apple Health anymore.

### 1/5 — Not impressed

*2025-02-08, version 7.8*

I was under the impression that this could be used with in the context of being in a gym or being outside of the gym. It works fine if you don’t have gym equipment, but it does not have any options to use gym equipment if you do go to a gym. So I go to the gym and I basically do exercises I can do at home without a gym. I want to be able to utilize gym equipment. It has no options for most of the gym equipment that most gyms have. I have emailed a coach several times and never once have I gotten a reply. I’m paying for the prime membership to be able to email coaches and ask my questions and get answers. Never once is anybody replied to me. Very regretful that I bought this app. Also it has the availability to use Spotify. With the app. But not Pandora. Every time I try to use Spotify the app crashes and starts my workout over from the beginning. Really an expensive app for no services no support no flexibility. I’ve canceled my subscription and I will not ever be using this after the subscription is finished. You can find better workouts on YouTube for free.

### 1/5 — Non existent customer service!!!

*2023-10-07, version 7.8*

Don’t waste your money on this app. Sent multiple messages/emails to resolve a subscription issue without a response. No contact number or live chat information was available either. This company is a joke!!

### 1/5 — Unable to get proper receipt from team

*2021-11-03, version 7.8*

Tried to get proper billing receipt but unable get it

### 1/5 — Logging back in is a pain and workouts didn’t feel customised

*2020-09-11, version 6.5.0*

I logged out half an hour ago and still unable to log back in since. It’s making my head hurt. I input my number, the confirmation code and it doesn’t authenticate. WHYYYY. I haven’t shared to anyone. Also, when I was able to log in, I put in filters to exclude some exercises like Air Squats but I still see them in the workouts being given to me.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Good mix of WOD’s

*2026-07-31, version 7.8*

Been using it for over 5 years now. Good variety of workouts for different levels. I like you can filter by equipment you have to use, and then can save those filters for different locations, I have home, office, and hotel, which make it great for when I’m traveling

### 5/5 — Best Functional Plan There Is!!!

*2026-07-17, version 7.8*

I love Keelo! It’s been my go to besides Yoga and Calisthenics for about 3 years now. I have stopped every now and then when I think I want a change, but what always brings me back is that’s it’s simple, fast, and effective. I enjoy its adaptive nature and the personal goals that I can achieve while progressing overall! It takes the extra stress out of my workouts and helps me stay motivated during the hard days when I don’t want to show up. And that’s why it gets a well deserved 5 stars.

### 5/5 — No Other Workout App Needed

*2025-01-30, version 7.8*

I don’t want to spend time creating a workout each day. This is why I love KEELO! The app suggests both a strength and conditioning workouts each time I hit the gym. It tracks my weights and times and makes suggestions for the next workout so I’m continually getting more fit. There are so many workouts to choose from that I’ve rarely done the same one twice. I also like that the app gives me a good warm-up and stretching cool down for my workouts as well.

### 5/5 — Anthony

*2024-12-31, version 7.8*

Great workouts and even greater results, it helped me push myself and become a monster on the soccer field

### 5/5 — 952 Workouts In

*2024-12-30, version 7.8*

I’ve been using Keelo for over 5 years now. I have gained a lot of strength from this app using equipment I have at home. I love that I can choose my workout based on my equipment, cardio preferences, and time. Highly recommend this app!!!

### 5/5 — Best User Friendly Fitness App

*2024-09-21, version 7.8*

This is the best user friendly fitness app for people who like multifunctional training.
I’ve been using this app for many years however every now and then I try others who claim to be amazing but I always come back to Keelo.

Improvements needed as follows.

Add Warm up sets to Strength.
Break strength exercises into Push/Pull/Squat/Hip Hinge.
Add some new Warm ups and cool downs.
Include foam rolling in cooldowns.

I’m currently using all the above on other apps however Keelo is the best so far to use when training. The strength work is very limited so it would be good to have some sort of focus or program with resistance training ie Strength, Gain Muscle, Power Lift, Olympic lifts etc..

### 5/5 — Amazing app with amazing workouts

*2024-09-08, version 7.8*

This app reminds me of cross fit and the workouts were almost identical to what I was doing in that program. I’ve built a home gym and am able to do quite a lot. This app is one of the best exercise programs with great coaching. They have a channel on YouTube for how tos. This app really feels like they have a good community. Great job guys!

### 5/5 — Worth it

*2024-08-28, version 7.8*

I subscribed and I do not regret it. I stayed true to the program and I feel stronger than I was a month ago. Perfect workout program to help you max out your ACFT.. if you’re ARMY.

### 5/5 — Replaced my CrossFit membership

*2024-08-17, version 7.8*

I really enjoyed my local CrossFit box and drop ins at a similar local functional fitness gym, but it was difficult to work out at set times. After buying some gear for my garage, plus the Keelo app, I feel like I’m getting a very similar workout on my own schedule. I probably work out a little harder in a group setting and I miss the camaraderie, but it just makes sense with kids and a full-time job.

### 5/5 — First Week.

*2024-08-08, version 7.8*

Programming seems great so far with warm up strength met con and cool down/ recovery. Video reviews of exercises are short but very informative to get straight to the workout with too much time wasted on review of movements.
