## What is Keeper?

Your bees can't remind you what they need. Keeper can.

Keeper is the offline hive tracker that works where your bees are — gloved hands, no signal, mid-inspection. Log what you see and Keeper flags what's due next. One saved colony pays for this app many times over.

A missed mite treatment doesn't announce itself. You find out weeks later when the colony is already crashing. A queen you meant to check goes queenless for a month. A follow-up you were sure you'd remember never happens. The problem isn't knowledge — it's that no notebook can track every hive, every treatment window, every follow-up across a full operation.

Log an inspection in a few taps. Keeper reads what you entered and queues the follow-up — the mite recount in 10 days, the requeen check, the second treatment in the series. When you complete the work, it auto-completes. No extra tapping with gloved hands. Less screen time, more bee time.

Stick a cheap NFC tag on any hive and scan it to jump straight to that hive's records. No scrolling through lists, no guessing which box you're in. Or skip it and use the app standalone, your choice.

Your insights dashboard turns months of inspections into a clear picture — mite counts graphed across the season, colony health by yard, winter loss patterns. The kind of overview that used to require a spreadsheet and a free afternoon.

Start a yard visit when you arrive. Keeper tracks which hives you've worked so you don't drive home wondering if you missed one. Review your time later. See where the season is heading.

Your data stays on your device and it's yours — works without an account, without internet, without giving anything up.

Free to try, no credit card required. Keeper Pro unlocks unlimited apiaries and hives, plus cloud sync across devices.

Download it before your next yard visit. You'll wonder how you worked without it.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 13 (1.0.4) — 2026-05-03

Rewritten welcome screens that lead with the why — what Keeper does for you at the hive, not just what it tracks. Tap "Start my first yard" at the end and you go straight to creating your first apiary.
Plus a smoother Season Start picker in Preferences, and a clearer warning when removing a hive that still has bees. & UI enhancements.

### 1.0.1+10 — 2026-04-22

Smarter past visits
Logged a visit from last week — or last year? Keeper now auto-completes any smart tasks whose due dates have already passed, so your to-do list stays clean. A banner on the Buzz Report shows exactly what will be marked
  complete.

  Glove-friendly pickers
Set past-visit date and duration with a scroll wheel instead of tapping +/- buttons a hundred times. Bigger tap targets throughout.

  Read-only yards
Yards you can't actively manage (hidden, or over the free-tier limit) now show a clear "Read-only" chip instead of weather — no more mixed signals.

  Bug fixes
  • Fixed a state bug that could silently block starting a yard visit, installing bees, or saving an inspection. The app now heals itself automatically when it detects the condition.
  • Dragging the visit celebration down returns you to the yard — not back to the Buzz Report.
  • Install-bees events stay in the hive's history after logging them as part of a past visit.
  • The Keeper Pro banner flips to "Subscription ended" immediately on expiry, instead of lingering on stale state.
  • The subscribe flow no longer stacks pop-ups, and your active-yard selection sticks — no more re-prompts on every app restart.

  Under the hood
Added a broader set of diagnostics so we can spot and fix issues faster — nothing that changes how you use the app.
